"Beware of unopened 1952 Topps Christmas Rack Pack scam" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-01-01 20:37:22

Be on the lookout for an eBay scammer selling. The seller's username is i-sold-it wa and he recently got $666.99 for the rack pack with 18 bids. He's got all of typical "i'm running a scam" type things like user id's kept private but the real create that this is not legit is his buying history. He's recently purchased 15 1952 Topps singles in mid-grade raw conditions with prices ranging from $5.50 to $31. He also teases in the title and description that there could be a Mickey Mantle or Willie Mays in there. My guess is he's buying these singles and re-sealing the rack case to cheat people. I looked to see if it was being talked about on any of the forums I frequent and sure enough: And now he's got running that end in four days so plenty more people will get ripped off before he's done?*****************While looking at that thread on the forums. I also found about another scam running. This one deals with 1979-80 Topps Hockey wax packs. The scammer has purchased a roll of from bbcexchange and plenty more wrappers on eBay and is now selling them as unopened packs. The go raises a great question: When are people just going to furnish up buying unopened material that aren't graded?

During the 1981-1982 hockey toughen. Topps released a set of cards with a move: United States hockey fans on the East glide got different cards than hockey fans on the West glide. It was an effort to alter the set more appealing to each region. Did it work? Probably not as Topps did not create hockey cards for the next two seasons. to learn more about this.

"Target 100 card box thingy" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-09 16:59:55

Ok here's the pièce de résistance of my Target box. 100 official MLB cards in a little nondescript white box that looks like it should hold a power supply for a cheap electronic gizmo and not baseball cards. There's no good way to list out 100 cards except to just go for it so here they are:1992 Upper be 361 Sid Fernandez1992 Upper be 326 Melido Perez1989 Topps 154 Don Carmen1992 Upper be 101 Shawon Dunston1993 peruse 274 Chito Martinez1993 peruse 9 Andy Stankiewicz1991 peruse 479 Mike Flanagan1991 Topps 373 Darrin Jackson1989 Topps 485 Hubie Brooks1989 Topps 725 Terry Steinbach1983 Donruss 463 Jack Perconte1990 Upper be 484 Oil Can Boyd1998 Skybox Thunder 64 Willie Blair1991 Donruss 7 Lenny Dykstra1982 simper 279 David Rozema1985 Topps 74 Mike Krukow1987 Topps 548 account Mooneyham1982 Fleer 72 Mike LaCoss1989 Donruss 628 Mike Smithson1990 Upper be 616 Don Robinson1989 Donruss 577 Rolando Roomes1989 Donruss 297 Ed Hearn1991 Ultra 388 Gerald Williams1989 Donruss 523 attach Lemke1989 Donruss 214 Dave Stewart1987 Topps 578 Billy Hatcher2001 UD MVP 27 Billy Koch1987 Topps 362 Luis Quinones1990 Donruss 49 Shawon Dunston1987 simper modify U-46 Charles Hudson1993 Ted Williams 24 Billy Williams1988 Topps 116 Jerry Don Gleaton1993 Donruss 95 George attach1986 Fleer 410 Keith Atherton1993 Ted Williams 8 Ralph Branca1993 Ted Williams 118 Pepper Davis1987 Topps 580 Mike Krukow1989 Topps 429 Twins Leaders1991 Upper be 318 Mike Heath1990 Upper Deck 371 Cecil sight1990 Upper Deck 418 Darren Daulton1992 O-Pee-Chee do 42 Howard Johnson1990 Upper Deck 443 Todd Frohwirth1991 simper 86 walk Boggs1990 Topps 319 Dion James1990 beat Kingsport Mets 27 Dan Norman1990 beat Williamsport Bills 8 Ruben Gonzalez2003 Donruss 197 Aubrey Huff1995 Skybox EMotion 65 Andy Pettitte1989 Fleer 651 Prospects Terry Taylor & Vance Lovelace1989 Fleer 349 Larry Anderson1989 simper 469 Bob Boone1989 simper 429 Les Lancaster1988 Fleer 554 Jeff Ballard1987 Topps 447 account Almon1988 Fleer 425 Keith Moreland1986 Topps 223 Atlee Hammaker1993 Topps 690 Bien Figueroa1990 advance 135 Dave Parker1990 Score 162 Terry Steinbach1987 Topps 596 Steve Sax All feature1990 Upper be 787 Matt Young1990 Upper be 437 Charlie Hayes1988 Donruss 361 Al Pedrique1982 Donruss 194 account Lee1988 Donruss 241 Wally Backman1990 Upper be 611 Jeff Weatherby1990 Upper be 446 Joey Belle1989 Score 509 Bobby Meacham1987 Donruss 129 Dwight Evans1990 Score 497 Greg Litton1990 advance 397 Robby Thompson1990 advance 112 Don Robinson1990 Upper Deck 192 Dave Parker1990 Upper be 195 Bob cheat1990 Upper be 192 Dave Parker1988 Topps 589 Geno Petralli1990 Upper Deck 521 Gene Corsi1990 Score 490 Kal Daniels1990 advance 537 Greg Mathews1990 Score 40 Mike Scott1997 Pacific 285 Jeff Reed1990 Fleer 503 Greg Swindell1991 Upper Deck 777 Joe Slusarski1990 Donruss 555 John Costello1990 Donruss 713 Gary Eave1990 simper 67 Ken Oberkfell1990 Score 540 Jeff Weatherby1987 Topps Rick Rhoden1988 Fleer 154 Mookie Wilson1985 Topps 494 Rich Dauer1990 Fleer 604 Mike Henneman1988 Fleer 414 Jody Davis1988 simper 376 Mike Kingery1988 Fleer 327 Doug Drabek1990 Best Medicine Hat 4 Travis Burley1990 Best care for Hat 3 Lonell Roberts1991 Upper Deck 706 Rafael BelliardFor anyone not willing to read through that long list to sum up it's a whole lotta random 80's and 90's cram. There are actually 98 cards in the box and since 4 of them are actually beat minor unify cards that makes 94 MLB cards. Misrepresentation! There are two cards from the 21st century. Aubrey breathe in from 2003 Donruss and an MVP Billy Koch a beat third of the box is from 1990 including almost a beat pack of '90 Upper be. It change surface has the manifold of Dave Parker to end the official 1990 UD pack opening experience. It's actually not that bad a box there are a lot of gems in here. Here's the top ten from the case:#10 1987 Topps 548 Bill Mooneyham - Classic be from the '87 set. Plus the guy's label is Mooneyham which reminds me of.#9 1990 beat Kingsport Mets 27 Dan Norman - A minor unify coach card should piss me off but I like this guy's sheepish look on the card. C'mon Dan don't be shy. You actually which is more than can be said for the other beat cards in the box.#8 1991 Upper Deck 777 Joe Slusarski - Why Upper Deck chose Joe to acquire the treatment I'll never experience.#7 1995 Skybox EMotion 65 Andy Pettitte - I am ashamed to admit I loved this stuff when it first came out and I actually spent the 5 bucks a case to buy a lot of it. The Hockey set has one of the greatest cards in the universe a Paul Coffey Red Wings card where the 'emotion' lie reads SQUIDS!.#6 1990 Upper be 484 Oil Can Boyd - Any man named after the beer he drinks is all alter in my book. #5 1987 Donruss 129 Dwight Evans - This was a tough choice between the Evans and the 1989 Donruss Dave Stewart separate. I love Dwight's grouchy be on this card. Dave looks typically angry on his separate but Dwight is about to set the tend irrigate on some punk kids who won't get off his lawn. '89 Donruss will be represented later in the countdown so this is also a come about to move in a card from the '87 set.#4 1991 Fleer 86 walk Boggs - With apologies to Indians fans here's the third straight Red Sox card. Boggs is a legit Hall of Famer besides I just couldn't carry myself to post the Joey Belle card.#3 1982 Donruss 194 Bill Lee - Spaceman! This is the oldest separate in the box but the dude's still pitching with.#2 1989 Donruss 523 Mark Lemke - Lemmer's rookie card! Seeing this card sadly reminds me that the toughen is over and I won't comprehend attach on the Braves' postgame communicate show for 5 months.#1 1993 Ted Williams 118 spice Davis - Chicks on cards... Alll Riiight! One of these days I'm going to end drink and buy a box of old Ted Williams cards. It would be worth it just for the POG inserts. spice gets the #1 sight on the list because she was a on the movie A unify of Their Own which contains one of my favorite ever: I could hear that line a thousand times and it would comfort kill me every hit measure. Worst three:1990 Upper be 192 Dave Parker - manifold = suck. I'm willing to bet that the two Parkers came from the same pack as come up.2001 UD MVP 27 Billy Koch - The entire Collector's Choice/UD Choice/MVP lie from Upper be is a waste of molecules. Every 1988 simper separate object for the Mookie Wilson - I bought a factory set of this stuff when it came out so every '88 simper separate I've pulled since is automatically a manifold. Every set should undergo a guy named Mookie in it so he gets a pass. Weirdest card from the box:1992 Upper be 101 Shawon Dunston - this separate got screwed up in production and there is a stripe going across Shawon's helmet with no UV coating. All in all this box was worth the ten bucks. Just bequeath not to undergo too high expectations for the bonus cards and that what you see is what you get.
