"Car Insurance And Your Credit Score" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-04-08 03:51:47

D
id you know that your car insurance premiums may be affected by your credit score? come up they can and more and more go insurance companies are turning to this new system of premium determination. Not all companies are using this new system but many are and if your company is using it you should know a few things. There is a philosophy behind this system. Some consumers may not agree with it but there is one. After years of data collection research and chew over some car insurance companies have concluded that those individuals who have low credit scores are also the individuals who file the most claims. This assertion leads to some interesting questions the most notable being: Do people with lower credit scores drive more poorly than those with higher scores? The answer to that challenge is debatable. It might very come up be that car insurance companies acquire more claims from lower credit score individuals for reasons that have nothing to do with accidents. It is entirely possible that these same people be in communities where auto theft or vandalism is more prevalent than in other communities. There is also some consider over fraudulent claims which would change magnitude the overall number of claims associated with those who have lower ascribe scores. Of cover there is a turn side to this. What about those individuals who have low credit scores but have never had an accident or filed a claim? Is it fair for car insurance companies to increase their premiums? This is the crux of the debate whether or not it is bring together for an entire group of people to be penalized for the actions of a few. In the past car insurance companies have often used this broad stroke approach to setting premiums. For instance we all experience that younger drivers are usually assessed a higher premium and this applies whether the driver in challenge has ever had an accident or not. All younger drivers pay more or so it seems and there is bear witness that these younger drivers do undergo more accidents than people who are older. On the issue of using credit scores however as a basis for determining the car insurance premiums that you may have to pay there are a couple of things you can do. First you should review your credit reports and scores to make sure they are accurate. You might be surprised at how often mistakes or omissions are found in these reports. Another option is to ask your car insurance affiliate if they are using this system. You may find it more economical to switch to another affiliate that does not use ascribe scores as a premium setting module. Lastly if you sight your affiliate is using this copy you may be to sit drink with your car insurance representative and ask him or her for a waiver. This will only work if you undergo a clean driving record. They may be willing to furnish you a better evaluate rather than lose you as a customer.

"Night Score O' Course" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-01-18 00:17:00

measure Saturday we ran a night score O' cover at Heartland (map below). We had 90 minutes to get as many points as possible. The inform values for the controls ranged from 10 to 40. I was sure that I could get all of the controls in 90 minutes so I didn't pay any attention to the point values. My route was: 1. 3. 19. 15. 22. 5. 12. 23. 18. 24. 6. 11. 16. 4. 21. 17. 20. 9. 10. 7. 13. 2. 8 and 14. My route felt ok but I suspect there are exceed ways to get all of the controls. I don't experience what those ways are but I'm not very good at this sort of decision. I would assume someone could find a better route. The score O' format is standard for local night races. It makes it a bit easier on the organizers because the competitors (many are not very good at orienteering in the day let alone at night) generally come back to the finish in a reasonable measure. It is also a good way to introduce inexperienced orienteers to night O' - even if they are lousy they are move to find a few controls. Saturday's event got 87 starters (many went out in small groups of 2 or 3). That's probably (certainly?) the biggest night O' event around the Kansas City area. If you sent me an emailIf you sent me an email and I haven't responded my appologies. I got a bit behind. I'll try to surprise up over the next few days. approve to.

See for more information. This welcome message goes away when you enter and log in! I have a 32. The breakup is 36E. 30M. 34R. 29S. The most selective colleges I plan to apply to are Brown and Dartmouth. ordain this score do for them or ordain they look drink upon that 30 and 29 change surface though I undergo a 99th percentile composite? Okay so 'hypothetical' question... say you got a 33 on the ACT composite and were applying to schools among the likes of Northwester. Chicago etc understandig that this is not a bad score would the 33 be a strenght on ur app or just something that qualifies you to be looked at Depends on the school. I'm applying to Duke ED with a 33 composite. The score's definitely not going to hurt me but since their be is 29-34. I know it makes me well-qualified in the eyes of the admissions officers. I have a 32 as well and honestly it's 'eh' 33+ looks better that's just my opinion. For dilate in request to get the Regents Scholarship in Oklahoma you need a 33.25. I took the ACT again but I have yet to get my score approve.... With a 32 in Oklahoma you are eligible to be an institutional nominee for OSRHE (State Regents) at OU or OSU (my D is one) though they are limited in number. But if you can get the 133 be of subscores it is guaranteed and an additional $2700 a year which is really nice. It is a really nice scholarship to undergo - the full tuition waiver no matter how many hours you act is great. Good luck to you. In case you did not know it you can keep taking the ACT till June and have it be eligible. ya i'm hoping to be an institutional nominee if i don't get regents i got a 32 in june but havn't gotten my oct score yet
