The jammer comes in about 20 feet behind everyone else; they are responsible for scoring points. "I have to evaluate about who to be away from; it's all about strategy."The Springfield Roller Girls provide the competitive atmosphere that some need."I played competitive sports in high school but after I had my daughter I didn't have an outlet to do that anymore," Dunn said. "So I signed up when I saw an advertisement in a bar."According to Dunn participating in roller derby provides a great work out an outlet for new friends plus it is a great way to ameliorate tension. "You can hit someone really hard and not have to mind about a lawsuit," Dunn said. Roller derby was something alter to do. McDaniel said.
