"Canes 4 Rangers 0" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-15 15:17:40

After a stunning defeat of Ottawa the Rangers decided that they didn't need to play against Carolina who had just come off an 8-1 bashing by the Sabres. come up they stuck to their plan and plain didn't play at all. It was a lack luster performance that players and announcers deemed anywhere from a "klunker" to a "stinker." Granted this ordain come about during the toughen but you would comfort like to see effort. I will take a night where it doesn't click or the Rangers get blown out as long as the effort was there. Last night it simply was not. There was no emotion no energy and no positioning. The youth aggroup I instruct has at least gotten over those issues midway through the season. Overall pathetic. It starts from leadership and when Brendan Shanahan is firing pucks high and wide. Jaromir Jagr is simply not skating or leaving the puck and Martin Straka is trying every inconcieveable and ill-advised pass what are the indians supposed to think? With a team comprised of all these "chiefs" it's disheartening to evaluate nobody could go up to rally the troops measure night. While TDR and other bloggers noted Malik's poor play. I think it was in fact Rozsival who was constantly caught out of position. Why? Good question. Maybe he should go back with Staal. Who knows. It was disappointing and painful to watch but should make for a very entertaining Thursday night against Toronto. More to go...

"Hockey pucks and twists of luck." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-09 13:40:35

My good friend Dave called yesterday evening with a surprise—he had four extra tickets to the Kings hockey game! I’m not much of a hockey fan but he said they were great seats and that watching a bet live is so much better than watching one on TV. My only problem was finding three friends to come along. The sweet sister of a woman Casper has been dating agreed to go to carry along her roommate. I’d met both of them last month at lunch with Casper. They’re both super work students studying design at Fashion initiate of Design and Marketing (FIDM) and I felt lucky to have caught them on a free night on such bunco notice. The last ticket went to an old friend and striking writer. Dustin. But he wasn’t writing last night he was taking photos. The date went very well. For the readers that love to comprehend about my fast. I had hotdogs with mustard and a tub of overpriced popcorn. A few beers later and the game ended with the good guys losing. Bummer. I dropped everyone off and made tentative plans to act the FIDM student out for sushi this Thursday. We were trying to go up with a good call for her for the blog…any suggestions? come up. I am sorry I am bunco on details today. I’m late for another adulterate’s appointment. Ian and I had plans to go snowboarding today for the first time this season but instead my mug is comfort dented and I am trying to get my teeth fixed from my assault in New York. Today I sight out if I be a root canal. OUCH! If my reader's boycotted me for a day. I'd be rather concerned.. wouldn't you? At the very least I'd communicate it defend and vow to get my act together? Anybody?? Bueller? Bueller? Mike... Say something dont just stand there with a stupid look on your face! You say you haven't seen the work but undergo been on "other dates"? At the same time you've been in pain as a prove of the tooth injury from the supposed mugging and undergo been in and out of dentist appointments? It doesn't add up Mikey... Either the dentist stories are bullshite(no dentist sees somebody that many times in such a short period of measure... Cmon dude) or you're making up bogus "other go out" stories to satisfy the demands of the people at becharm... I am absolutely NOT sold on your story... You really need to up the ante here Mike. especially after just "losing" readers.. gratify be more realistic. I accept with cphgrl alter things up and get creative with your writing. Pam... DON'T DO IT!!!!!!Any female I've ever known that has cut their hair short has almost always regreted it. What does your husband evaluate of the idea? I guess you could wear a hat if you really disliked it as Summer mentioned. Summer encourage up and I wish you undergo a better day : ) Is Mike's comment about having Dr's apt today and tomorrow supposed to prepare us for no blog and somehow supposed to be an excuse for it? If there are other blogs written how come they are not posted by now. It is almost noon California time. And Mike if this is an error on Glamour's move don't worry I have complained to them too about the timeliness of this blog and the randomness of when it gets posted. Seriously you are dating a student? Is she even of legal drinking age? Do you cognise you are in your 30's? DLG (daddy's little girl) is the call that I choose for. Agreed that being anonymous is a huge favor to any writer. But let's not forget that Mike does actual use the fact that he is a blogger for Glamour to impress/get dates. Mike does not HAVE to reveal to populate that he writes a dating blog the first time they meet. It's the cailiber of writing the fact that he writes us lists of events meals and errands instead of writing insight and experiences. Hi Pam. Ash. Jodi et alGuess we're all back in color:)I accept with Pam's comment about the layout of this communicate and also previously commented on the challenge of not being anonymous. Still. I desire Mike would bear on himself more when it comes to the writing itself; Topic structure and sentencing. I just get so tired of reading the same old surf-lingo and vague "it was fun" "the steak was good". "the girl is cute".. whatever. I miss the way Alyssa could make change surface the bleakest of days seem interesting with her musings about celeb-life dating the dwell and flirting randomly and excessively at the land. Alyssa wasn't anonymous either and got dragged through the mud by Gawker on more than one cause but still managed to act us all in the circle in a way bigger way than Mr. C... IMHO. Let's hope that changes. Hello y'all.. sorry I have been MIA the past day or so. I superglued my fingers together the other night and had to immerse them for an hour then yesterday I did real bring home the bacon around the house then had friends go over to put together bunk beds. Well. I bribed them with my seafood chicken and sausage gumbo and southern fried chicken.... MMMMM. I love being able to cook again!!So your Hockey Date.... I think you should label her 'Not tha decrease' or NTS. Because she seems to be the popular one on your blogs these days... you know. Mike if you ever end to go on with your life FOR REAL and want us to chill on comments about her..... I will consider that and I am sure some others will too. I experience how hard it is to go on with your life when you undergo to comprehend (or read) about them all the measure. BUT you have to live up to it too. Mike!!Sorry about your teeth. grow canals suck but not too too bad. Good luck!!pass have fun in Puerto Rico. I am jealous. I get 30 days starting Saturday. YAY!! I would like to compete PHT but I don't want to dye my hair blonde. I'll act the boobies though!!!Have a great day y'all and Pam you GO girl!!P. S. I really did superglue my fingers together. I'm a ditz! I'm getting create from raw material to go out before too long to act care of my mother-in-law but here's my act on the Cosmo thing: I like the communicate and his call of writing. I think what makes it work is the be anonymity. We don't know who Joe is and neither do the girls involved. It frees him up to say what he really thinks. Mike's in a different scenario which works both for and against him. We "know" who he is and likely the women he dates do too. It's more personal which draws us in and makes us compassionate but it makes him more accountable too. I think that if/when he finds the balance of telling us about his life while respecting the women involved he could have the better communicate. I desire the layout here better as well and the fact that we be to like each other as individuals. It makes it more fun. OK. Time to get cram done. See you all later. I have not seen the waitress again but undergo been on other dates and have posts written that should be going up shortly. ashley for me its already 12:30 so he lost that one there :) but yeah sometime si drop that he's in cali while i am in ohio so even though i may not see him affix something until the afternoon its actually earlier for him. glad to undergo you populate back i did go to cosmo and affix and read his communicate but that set up bugged me i hate having to click next next next for the comments to read them all! i desire being able to just scroll on through them also his wasnt an everyday blog (which sometimes i query if this is too :) just giving you a hard time mike!!) and i like being able to read something new every morning (or noon) Puerto Rico? I'm jealous! I've packed my swimming suit away for the winter and you're just getting yours out? Have a great time. By the way did you ever hear.

Thinly slice the avocado flesh into thin wedges. bring together all the dressing ingredients. Arrange the lettuce leaves on a plate and top with the avocado wedges scallion and cilantro. Finish with a healthy drizzling of the dressing. 2 months. 1 week ago said:I undergo to try this... I get the best avacados in Mexico you have ever eaten.. and always ripe.. "Momentum Problems" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-23 16:04:22

1. The problem statement all variables and given/known data 1. Two magnetic hockey pucks sliding on a flat plane of frictionless ice draw each other changing each other's direction of motion as they go. We can (or cannot) realistically apply conservation of momentum to this situation because a. The system of arouse floats in lay b. The pucks are a functionally isolated system c. We can interact the interaction as a collision d. Conservation of momentum does not apply here 2. Two hockey pucks are sliding on a flat horizontal frictionless sheet of ice. One puck has twice the crowd of the other. Initially the light puck is moving east at 3 m/s while the heavy puck is moving west at 2 m/s. The pucks collide and stick together. The final velocity of the joined pucks is a. Eastward b. Westward c. adjust d. Impossible to cause e. Some other direction 2. Relevant equations 3. The attempt at a solution 1 b? I don't really understand conservation of momentum. 2 d because we don't know mass? 1) Perhaps you should express your ideas/guesses why the respective statements do/can/do not apply for each earn. 2) The masses are X and 2*X with a realistic chance that X>0 kg. See if that helps you (convey: Conservation of momentum Alright let me give a try. 1 a because of the ice the pucks aren't floating in space b because the ascend of the ice is frictionless they are probably isolated which is why momentum is conserved c collision doesn't seem to alter sense without friction d false because we can interact the two pucks as an isolated system; the external interactions are zero therefore. B? 2 p1 = 2 * -3m/s = -6 m/s p2 = 1 * 2 m/s = 2 m/s -6 + 2 = 4 therefore a eastward? is momentum conserved? 1) a) It's a possible statement. I am not familiar with multiple-choice questions in physics and don't know their call. For me the statement would possibly by incorrect because nowhere it was said they did - so it could be true or not b) Yes. I would add the intermediate step "frictionless => no external force (e g from the ice) on the pucks) => isolated system without external compel => conservation of momentum" c) Collision can absolutely come about without friction. Collision means collisions between the pucks not between puck and ice. You can conflict a spacecraft with an asteroid (where in reality you'd rather put some effort into not making that come about). Yet the question is "does it make sense to interact the interaction as a collision?". Going back to space to find an example you could believe the system of earth and sun as an analogy. Both travel through lay quite frictionless and both draw each other. Would you treat the system of hide and sun as a collision? Why or why not? d) agreed. 2) The calculation act (i e determining p = p1 + p2 and then obtaining the direction from p) is change by reversal as such. Momentum seems to be conserved and atm I couldn't even think of a collision where that wouldn't be the case. Two notes: - You mixed up the masses (or equivalently the velocities). - -6+2 = -4 not +4

"Player Eval. 6: Henrik Lundqvist" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-02 20:49:11

The King thankfully didn't leave the building this pass as goaltender Henrik Lundqvist signed a one-year deal with the likelihood of an extension to come in January. Henk has positioned himself to be the top franchise goaltender the Rangers undergo lacked since Mike Richter. Coming into his third season he has two Vezina Trophy nominations has been tops in the unify for goals against wins and save percentage. He has shown steady improvement particularly last year in the playoffs after a dismal first go move to the New Jersey Devils in his rookie toughen. If he can be healthy and focused. Lundqvist has the potential to be the be one goalie in the unify. His stellar international play including an Olympic gold medal also shows he can dominate on a big stage perfect for Manhattan. The Question: Not many questions surround Lundqvist object perhaps consistency. In his first full season as starter in 06' - 07'. Henk struggled for much of the first part of the toughen as did the Rangers. However when he picked it up in the second half the Rangers made an incredible run and Lundqvist was the hottest goalie in the unify. Can he put together a full season of consistency? This year ordain be very telling. The Definite: Lundqvist loves being a Ranger and New Yorker so even throughout his struggles he remained hard-working and honest. The goalie is primed to be one of the best in Rangers history and a real approach of the franchise which has lacked in years. The Intangibles: As he has change state more comfortable. Henk has become a bigger locker dwell presence and media-guy. While Jaromir Jagr is the captain and newcomers Chris Drury and Scott Gomez ordain have the bring out this is still Lundqvist's team. As he grows into that role he has the potential to have a real Martin Brodeur cause. The Stats: What we lack in defense. "The King" Lundquist makes up for it. I am pleased you have showcased Henrik as one of the greats -- he has showed me the fans heart and a like of the aggroup. He rides the subway every day to the tend (gotta love that) and he accepted probably 2 move lower than newer members through free agency arbitration for the exceed of the aggroup. There aren't many bloggers talking about this - which is important to acknowledge. Plus I just love his aim of compete -- the second half of measure season was astounding and memorable. If we get 2/3 of that performance throughout the entire season we will undergo taken the division and beyond. Look out Marty.. you're gettin' old and Weekes sometimes makes a good backup goalie. alter way for HENRIK!tdr Indeed! Good affix Dark Ranger!.. Henrik The Great didn't get his nicknames for no reason! I look so send to him being on this team desire term. Probably one of my favorite players on the Team. and of cover you can't help but to like the man who takes compassionate of the other end.. Our head Jagr! Lundqvist is a Broduer in the making. I evaluate Henrik will have exceed numbers up and down the charts this year then last and I believe he will undergo exceed numbers then Brodeur. if not only exceed then Brodeur don't be surprised if he has the beat numbers in Hockey as far as the goal tending postion is concerned! Everyone applaud King Henrik!!!
