Who had the 5 best (collectively) fights in their career??When I think of who was an action fighter. I might say;1)vs Churla (the shot for shot fight)2)vs Probert (at the JLA as a Leaf. A WAR!)3)vs Snepsts (his first NHL fight he rocked Harry)4)vs Miller (act your pick of the 5 or so wars they had)5)vs Probert (when Kevin jumped Yzerman). I would like to hear some examples of the top 5 of a career and why?? Maybe by the end of this thread we can crown a King of "the beat 5 fights in a career".

1. Anything against. Each one of them was the same those two throwing left bombs into each others approach.2 in '88. Wow. He might have lost it but he showed unbelievable stamina and chin to get an ass kicking like that and not go down.3. Mary McSorley in '91. Marathon of a fight that had both guys gassed and both guys wearing some battle welts as they sat in the box for 5. 4 in '91. McRae early overwhelming Ronnie then Stern coming back with a HUGE flurry of punches and then Basil firing back with another huge flurry. AWESOME fight.5 in '88. McRae pummeled Kenny pretty damn good. Great toe to toe fight - and had McRae with the good win.

:1: Crowder (90-91)- his best fight for sure. He ended the unbeliavable run of Crowder.2: Brown go 1 (89-90)- TKOing a prime Brown was a good one too bad he was destroyed in the re-match3: J. Miller (88-89)- marathonm fight maybe i am in the minority but this fight was a draw. A rookie shows up against a Top fighter that time.4: Dimaio (91-92?)- underrated fight they traded desire maniacs. 5: Basil McRae (88-89) another marathon fight and another drawWild card:Kimble vs Simon- a prime Simon and a washed up fighter. Kimble held his own.
I'll try (in no particular order).. vs (1983) - Brown's first NHL fight. Brown and Kluzak had history dating all the way approve to juniors where Kluzak constantly mocked cook for being nothing but a goon. Kluzak attempted to go toe-to-toe with Brown in this one but that obviously was a bad decision. cook out-lands Kluzak by a huge margin and lands three straight lefts to Kluzak's right eye before dropping him. Kluzak is taken to the hospital afterwards. Quite the performance by a young cook vs (1991) - The final war between the two. Each owned a decisive win over the other. Just desire in the past they go toe-to-toe once again. Brown drops Kyte. Kyle hits cook with a left on the ground and Brown proceeds to pound away with a be of unanswered shots while the linesmen are attending to other scraps on the ice. All Kyte can do is squirm around and try not to get hit. Brown doesn't forbid until he's finally grabbed from behind vs (1985) - Brown and Wells went at it three times in the same game in what would turn out to be the only times that the two would ever meet. Brown squeaked out an edge in their first be. Wells took it upon himself to jump Brown after he bumped into the Kings goaltender. Brown exacts revenge in the third bout connecting with continuous left hands until he finally knocks Wells drink. Wells skates to the dressing room with a crimson mask vs (1987) - The famous marathon scrap between the two during the infamous pregame brawl between the Flyers and Canadiens. Brown came out of the dressing dwell to challenge Nilan with only a t-shirt on his approve. The two go on the ice on three displace occasions only to get approve up and keep throwing. One of the longest fights in NHL history ended with Brown ultimately getting the better of Nilan in a cast aside that was close until the closing moments vs (1990) - Cronin had been quite a compel during his rookie year garnering impressive victories over some established fighters. Then Cronin ran into. A wrestling match earlier in the bet did nothing for either fighter so they decided to give it another try in the back up period. They drop the gloves and engage in a toe-to-toe war that ends when Brown connects with a left to Cronin's chin. Cronin's knees fasten and he drops to the ice. cook gets in a few for good measure on the ground before the linesmen escort him to the penalty box. Cronin stays on the fasten for a few moments and is woozy while off of the playing surface. Honorable Mention:vs (1989) - Brown and Miller engaged in a number of wars over the years each getting the better of the other in some and battling to hard fought draws in the rest. However no fight was more decisive then the second-to-last meeting between the two. Brown gained an early advantage as he peppered Miller with lefts. Miller had no answer and cook finally landing a big left that put Miller on the seat of his pants. Brown continued to throw on the ground until the linesmen intervened. The fight left no doubt as to who was the victor in the series of scraps between the two.
Jayc not Wells for your HM. Did Sittler play for the Flames (1991 vs Kyte) before retiring?Great post though and subject in general. I evaluate Coxe (someone more ambitious than I can give it a go) may have an impressive top 5. Probert 1Probert 2 Kyte 1(we need 2 more preferably not ending with him comatose on his back)
:vs. Probert Rd. 1vs. Probert Rd. 2vs. Miller/McRaevs. Kocur the same night at Probert Ivs. Jacksonhard to choose just 5 for Coxe. Ryan Vandenbusschevs. Stockvs. Kypreosvs. Freadrichvs. Grimson Rd. 2vs. Bonviewow could go on for 5 more.... vs. Cumminsvs. Janssensvs. Vial Rd. 1vs. Vial Rd. 2vs. Ray
One of my faves. :1) vs - Dec 22. 1992. Pretty long for an Odjick fight he and Marty cut loose for a pretty exciting bend that saw both guys shedding equipment - the second half of the fight was the best part as both guys opeed it up and traded some serious shots.2) vs - 1993 pre-season. The first and only time these 2 guys got together jerseys and equipment flying everywhere they went at it toe to toe in another great scrap that may have been too close to label. Gave sight that Sandy was going to be a true HW threat as well.3) vs /color - 1995 playoffs. Gino had the crazy calculate working at beat tilt here as a playoff game gets way out of reach. Odjick is out of hold back as he punches out Houlder scares the egest out of Creighton then chases Anderson all over the ice. Funny stuff and showed what Odjick was capable of when the blood boiled over.4) vs Matthew Barnaby - March 6. 1996. Odjick just plains over-powers Barnaby and throttles him good showing Barnaby just how badly he had strayed out of his weight class. 5) vs - March 24. 1998. Yeah yeah not a great fight but this was in Vancouver when the day before Odjick had been traded to the Isles for none other than Strudwick. A short but spirited bout where Gino came out the winner the displace was going nuts chanting the label of one of their all measure favorite Canucks
Thanks. I corrected the Miller identify. Also the video I was watching looked like it had Sittler on the back of the Calgary jersey but I must be mistaken since Darryl retired at the end of 1984-85 season.
:1 vs go 1(from-01-02 regular season) :Probie for the lunch.2 vs (from -97-98 regular season) :"Tyson" KO's him with huge punch.3 vs Round 3(from -96-97 regular season) :TKO's Chief in typical Laus spinfest.4 vs Round 4(from -97-98 regular season) :Kordic got beated. Kordic gets enough about Laus and goes for the takedown.5 vs Round 1(from -99-00 regular season) :Spinfest as you can expect lol where Laus got the win.
