"Caps @ Predators 3-18-2008 Preview" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-04-08 04:06:54

Washington Capitals (35-38; 78 points; 3rd Southeast Division. 11th Eastern Conference. 20th Overall) @ Nashville Predators (36-37; 80 points; 2nd Central Division. 9th Western Conference. 16th Overall):Caps Game #74. Road Game #36. NHL bet #1,100Sommet bear on. 8:08 pm. Nashville. TN. Washington TV: Comcast Sportsnet Mid-Atlantic. communicate: WWWT 1500-AM. 107.7-FM. Nashville TV: Fox SportsNet South Alternate. communicate: WGFX 104.5-FM. NHL Center Ice: Fox SportsNet South alter feed. Tonight the Caps go away a crucial 6 game road move against a team starting a crucial four game homestand. The Caps and the Predators are both on the outside looking in and undergo long odds of making the playoffs. The Predators undergo had two wins in their measure six games including their most recent bet a 3-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday night in Detroit which snapped a three bet losing move. This is an important game for both teams as the Caps and Preds are trying to make up ground in the waning days of the season to get into the playoffs. The Caps are two points out of 8th in the East and the Preds are four points out in the West. However the Caps have to get past three other teams while the Preds just need to move up one sight. The Caps undergo four games left against teams currently ahead of them in the standings while Nashville essentially has none as Detroit has already locked up the Central Division Title and only needs 13 more points to clinch the Western Conference and the President's Trophy. Yet the teams that the Predators are chasing are about to go away playing each and unless a rash of three inform games breaks out the Predators could walk in like the Caps are trying to do. But none of these scenarios are worth anything if the Caps and the Predators don't win the games they are playing in. The Predators have lost their last four games on home ice (one of them coming in a gimmick) and the key for them is playing come up on defense because in their past four wins they've allowed only one goal. The #3 Penalty Killing unit helps that out but the Caps undergo gotten excellent goaltending from since acquiring him from Montreal. UA's 1.68 goals against and.940 save percentage ordain be needed tonight it what should be a defensively tight and low scoring bet.

"NHL Center Ice-Cablevision" posted by ~Ray

I called measure week and they said Keep Checking. the web shows nothing. Has anyone heard about them signing a deal? If so when ordain it be available. Season starts Saturday!!!!!! This is really pushing the wire... Apparently they are still Negotiating a deal with The NHL.... And act to say check back. This is really cutting it to the wire.... Apparently they are still Negotiating a deal with The NHL.... And continue to say check back. This is really cutting it to the wire.... Does that convey it will no longer be available on cable? I checked with Cablevision and they said it is not yet available. If that is the inspect this will be another huge error on the move of the NHL. telecommunicate has many more subscribers than Dish communicate. Does that mean it will no longer be available on telecommunicate? I checked with Cablevision and they said it is not yet available. If that is the case this will be another huge error on the move of the NHL. Cable has many more subscribers than cater communicate. At this inform who knows. I would think the first two games weren'tgoing to be included anyway especially on providers that double up CIwith Extra Innings so I guess we'll undergo to act for the actual change state ofthe season to find out. I'm not happy about this but I'm holding my tongue until something happens (or doesn't happen). Too many NHL shills around these partsnot to. But there is alot of noise on many of the various forums soeither everyone is paranoid or has a reason to be suspicious. Needless to say if the NHL got themselves in a lay where theyeither signed an "exclusive" deal like MLB signed or are trying to leveragethe cater providers and InDemand for more money well that would betypical. LOL does it really??Man out of the four sports hockey's preseason seems so bunco which is definitely cool. Regular opening night is on Wed. October 3rd but the games in London are on Saturday/Sunday Sept 29/30th---->>>>All the while there are still Preseason games on the 29th and 30th. Very odd way to schedule but Bettman wants to Expand.... As if the Ducks and Kings don't travel enough during the reg seasonI do not think they are looking for exclusive rights. The NHL couldn't be that Stupid. Could they????cater. DirectTV and Cable all had the package last year. I can't see the NHL snubbing their fans desire that... this is just really unusual they normally offered the package early to mid September at a discounted rate... I already ordered it from DirecTV so it can't be.

"NHL Center Ice In HD?? (Comcast-Atlanta)" posted by ~Ray

I've called Comcast twice to speak with 2 different operators and got 2 differnet answers. One said that if the games are being aired in HD then the signal will run on bear on Ice. The other said that HD is not being conducted through any sports packages at this measure. So does any1 experience if I will be watching hockey in HD?? I've got MLB's extra innings package through Comcast and none of these games are offered in HD. A couple of years ago some of the games were put on in HD on INHD but that hasn't been the case this year. I be in South Jersey outside of Philly. yea thats what i figured. If the mlb isnt in HD then the hockey won't be. I've got Versus in HD but they only show so much games you know. Ok thanx again If the hockey games are broadcast in HD ala TSN HD CBCHD etc then they ordain be on displace Ice in HD. Atleast they are up here. __________________HD IS THE ONLY WAY Bedroom setupViewsonic N2752wXpressvue 6100Toshiba HD A2Harmony 520 Livingroom setupSamsung HL-S5687WXToshiba HD-DVD XA2Xpressvue HD PVRDenon 3801PSB Full surroundHarmony 880 Nintendo GC Nintendo Wii (this console rocks) We get one HD channel in the baseball package on TW in SC. They show usually at least one bet a day in HD sometimes two. I am worried that Center Ice may not show up at all -- seems that that the NHL is "demanding" that the NHL Network be a move of it somehow.

If your not aware Comcast is not required to 'share' their Philly Comcast Sportsnet broadcasts to satellite providers so this might be part of the cerebrate Center Ice never seems to use that feed. In using Center Ice measure year for Flyers games I found almost all the games were from the opposing teams commentators. If your not aware Comcast is not required to 'overlap' their Philly Comcast Sportsnet broadcasts to air providers so this might be move of the cerebrate Center Ice never seems to use that feed. Rignt you ordain rarely get the Philly feed. The only times they use that feed are when another broadcast is either not available (ex games in Chicago) or not in English (On RDS in Montreal). I was able to sign up with the early bird pricing.. When I had called earlier in the week they had given me the higher (regular) pricing but the package hadn't yet been available. I don't use Center Ice for Flyers games as I get Comcast SportsNet but I'd likely like hearing the broadcast from a visiting aggroup perspective as I sight the Flyers commentators to be borderline ridiculous at times. When ESPN anchor and hockey writer John Buccigross speculated in a column that the network would return as a carrier of NHL games the passage was deleted. This is what disappeared: “NHL players want it the NHL wants it and ESPN wants it. NBC and Versus somewhat holds the cards however so we will undergo to wait and see; but my guess is yes. ESPN will have a conjoin of the pie."ESPN’s decision to edit Buccigross was heavy-handed and arguably inappropriate. comfort it is a sensitive issue. ESPN reportedly has been involved in preliminary discussions with the NHL about televising games in 2008-09. However. Versus owns exclusive NHL cable rights in the United States. Its approval would be needed for ESPN a cable channel to get involved. An ESPN columnist rooting for ESPN’s return to the NHL could potentially annoy Versus and therefore wouldn’t be helpful if ESPN does indeed undergo its sights set on getting back into hockey. Yup ordered exploit here in the Boston area last Friday. $149 was the price. Definitely call back and analyse on that price you got quoted because the early bird special should go through the first week of the season. Of course. I won't really get to see the first few games since they go away on the West Coast (Curse you. NHL Scheduling Gods!) but still nice to know another beat season of hockey is almost here. As for the cater air yeah you won't get to see the Flyers announcers. On the other hand you will get to see how abysmal a lot of the other announcers in the unify are. Especially those jackasses up in Buffalo... God I can't stand them.

"A Postcard from the Washington Capitals? Media Day 2007" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-06 00:58:53

I struck up a conversation with Capitals radio great Ron Weber. We were both gazing out at the empty ice ascend as chatted about hockey history for a bit such as the fact that only one aggroup the Montreal Canadiens used to undergo color lines along the furnish of the boards rather than the standard color. He also (without my prompting) of out-of-town scoreboards and real-time clock; we were both hopeful that the cloth-draped ends of the lower ribbon displays ordain be unveiled as scoreboards on opening night. The most interesting tidbit he shared with me was in the form of a question. “See the red line?” he asked. “Do you know why it’s not a solid lie but has those color spaces along the lie?” I confessed that I did not. “come up,” he explained. “approve when they started broadcasting hockey games they couldn’t express on close-up camera shots whether the player was skating over the color line or the red line because on black-and-white televisions they looked the same. So the NHL made a rule that the red line had to have those color marks so viewers could tell the difference between the lines. Not that anyone is watching on a black-and-white TV today but they’ve comfort kept it that way.” Among the many media folks at the event was ’s wonderfully friendly. Ted Leonsis. Hillary. Gustafsson and I were chatting about the upcoming season after Leonsis and Hillary taped an converse for Comcast. Leonsis apologized for his prepare express. “It’s the forge,” he explained — and I sympathized as a few days ago I awoke with what I thought was a bad cold but was in fact a sore throat caused by the incredibly high count of forge allergens in the air. Hillary remarked on the alter Northern air. “We never had to worry about forge in Ottawa!” Welcome to DC. Ms. Hillary and good luck in the humid pollen-ridden exhaust-fume-choked DC air this spring. Bring Claritin! At right a photo of Lisa Hillary and Dave Steckel. Steckel’s impressive dwell and preseason undergo earned him a spot on the Capitals’ . You never know this is hockey! I didn’t evaluate about it. I just went to pass workouts and worked hard in training dwell to alter the top two lines. You undergo to bring home the bacon every day be better every day. I’m just excited and can’t wait for our first bet. That was a great experience the first thing you have to do in the playoffs is have a good group of guys who be to win and compete for the Cup. Everyone has to do his job and that’s what it takes. And if everything works desire that it works every time on the ice. “The man who reads nothing at all is exceed educated than the man who reads nothing but newspapers.” - Thomas Jefferson &write; 2007 On Frozen communicate / . ¶ bid: & All logos and images are trademarks of their respective owners.
