I spent pretty much the whole day at the tournament. This year it also had a as come up. I didn't realize until then that the Super Rink in Blaine has an astounding 8 sheets of ice. I thought they had just the 4 sheets. That being discovered I will stop calling it the (not-so) Super Rink but it will now be the Super (Sized) Rink. Sorry **affiliate name deleted** I still ordain not use your name in the name of the rink. Companies do not get remove advertising on this blog. In some photos I (badly) edited out any advertisements in them. Man it sure would be nice if there were no ads around the boards. As for the tournament the Springfield Junior Blues won the tournament. Teams don't compete everyone but the Junior Blues had a perfect 4-0 preserve. They also had. Now for my thoughts of the tournament:- It was pretty neat seeing a of in the parking lot as I walked in. I query what percentage of NHL players would keep playing if they had to bus it instead of comfy planes? My money is on five percent.- All pretty close games very entertaining. It was great that when a period ends I could simply walk out and then have a choice of watching a bring together of other games going on. It's be wonderful if NCAA hockey worked desire this.- The North Iowa Outlaws get my award for beat fans. Very into it loud and very nice.- Nicest uniforms go to the. The Topeka Road Runners come an awfully close back up. There were no jerseys that made me be to throw-up which is wonderful. However. I do think the Alexandria Blizzard be a it's far behind the level of quality the rest of the league has.- I'm still not sure if I should be considered a traitor for cheering for the Fairbanks Ice Dogs instead of the USA National Development Program. I do desire the USA NDP but for whatever reason the Ice Dogs appealed more to me.- The Fairbanks and USA NDP was very change state. Overtime couldn't find a winner so it went to a shootout which took a while to be decided. It was kind of neat seeing a shootout but I comfort say games shouldn't be decided this way. I'm even okay having 4 versus 4 in overtime which the NAHL does by the way over having shootouts. Just too much of a gimic for me especially since you rarely see penalty shots during games.- Speaking of the Ice Dogs they have their , which have. See NHL you can modify your jerseys and undergo them not look like crap.- The USA NDP were wearing those jerseys that were in the Olympics which I don't like but compared to the latest NHL idea they be very sharp.- The U18 Dallas Stars were in the Midget Showcase. They were wearing their color jerseys which the NHL's Stars should have gone with.- Bismarck where wearing a. Different. Not bad just different. The on the lie looked a little too busy but it still was okay. So in summary I had a great time during the showcase. It was a breath of fresh air compared to the NHL and change surface somewhat compared to the NCAA.
