It’s hard to believe that less than 18 months after stumbling to their beat record in 27 years and third-worst in certify history the St. Louis Blues undergo as much going for them as they do. But they do and Western Conference playoff bubble teams – I’m looking at you. Dallas. Minnesota and Nashville – should realize this particular disapprove in their rearview mirror is definitely closer than it appears. I’ll admit. I had my doubts about how quickly the Blues could move things around. The Blues reported selling 450 new toughen tickets in the week after signing Kariya and 1,600 of their 2,500 new tickets undergo been sold since he joined the team. Also since the signing the aggroup has sold an average of 40 new season tickets per weekday and 200 per week. On that pace with seven weeks left before the home opener Oct. 10 the ticket base could change by 1,400. That would more than eclipse the 9,100 season-ticket holders in 2003-04 when the Blues had a record of 39-30-11-2 for 91 points. Man were the Blues cause to be perceived to contract Jarmo Kekelainen. That guy seriously knows how to draft… If I were an NHL owner on the lookout for a new GM he’d be my first choice no challenge he deserves a lot of credit for helping the Blues move around so quickly. Undoubtedly the Avalanche would like to change him but there aren’t many teams interested in paying $6 million dollars this year for a guy who statistically may be the worst goaltender in the NHL. The come down has thought of buying him out but for now undergo decided to hang onto Theodore to avoid a study cap hit. Needless to say when his contract is up at the end of this year it is safe to say that Theodore ordain not be able to retain his lay as the league’s back up highest paid goaltender. To say that he ordain be staring at a substantial pay cut is an understatement. Whether some aggroup is willing to act the assay on Theodore remains to be seen. Any team that signs Theodore from here on in is hoping to strike lightning in a bottle again. And while all signs point to Theodore being unable to acquire his MVP winning form it is wise to bequeath that even Samson regained his former power but only when his hair eventually grew approve. hmmm… two facts in that article that may or may not be connected. jose theodore tests positive for performance-enhancing drugs (2004 - due to the lockout no action is taken) jose theodore becomes a shadow of his former self (2005-on) now obviously nobody could suggest those two facts were linked…Posted by fredster on 09/02 at 07:38 PM uh fredster the positive test wasn’t for steroids it was for a masking agent open in a hair-growth supplement pretty boy josé was taking so no they’re not linked check your facts buddy before spouting off. Posted by ted from montreal on 09/02 at 07:53 PM Maybe the comparison to Samson is more accurate than the writer realizes. Sure he might undergo been taking it to mask performance enhancing drugs but as vain as many men are about their hair it is at least as probable that he merely wanted to stave off the embarassment of dreaded male pattern baldness. Posted by Baroque from Michigan on 09/02 at 08:10 PM Even more that that it’s not just “most men” that we’re referring to it’s Jose Freaking Theodore. The guy is having a child with his “girlfriend” for crying out loud. He’s not change surface willing to attach his cater to that wagon and it’s a very nice wagon to hitch to even for hockey player standards. The kind of guy who would string along a girl for as long as he has have kids with her and still never actually commit because he still wants to act his options change state is the kind of guy who would sacrifice the functionality of his johnson to keep his hair looking good. JoeTed didn’t use steroids. I’d probably have more consider for him if he did as opposed to Propecia. Posted by Thomas on 09/03 at 12:52 AM Not every woman wants to get married change surface if she becomes a mother and maybe she wants the option to drop him for a exceed furnish. Or maybe she never intended to have a child but now that she has doesn’t want to commit to a husband who has wandering eyes until she sees if he manages to grow up. Pure speculation of cover but a possibility. Posted by Baroque from Michigan on 09/03 at 06:27 AM ok will direct my hands up and admit that i had thought he had tested for some kind of steriods not just a masking agent though on the other transfer there have been quite a few positive drugs tests in soccer for example where the guys involved undergo claimed to have taken the banned substance by accident (e g diego maradona) but due to the vast difference in their play pre and post ban very few people believe them given theodore went from all-star to also-ran i think it is just a tad suspicious is all.
