St. Paul. MN (Sports communicate) - Markus Naslund's hat cozen propelled the Vancouver Canucks past the Minnesota Wild. 4-2 at the Xcel Energy Center.
Daniel Sedin and Henrik Sedin each collected two assists for the Canucks who have won three of four. Ryan Kesler also scored for Vancouver and Curtis Sanford making his second go away of the season and third appearance overall finished the bet with 18 saves.
Marian Gaborik scored both goals for Minnesota which has dropped four of its last six games. Josh Harding made 22 saves in the loss.
"You have to be disciplined and try to take advantage of the chances when you get them especially against Minnesota because they play such a defensive game," Naslund stated following the game.
Naslund's second goal of the contest at the 5:04 mark of the third put Vancouver ahead 3-2. Daniel Sedin pulled up at the left circle threaded a cross-ice pass to Naslund at the align of the goal and he tipped it behind Harding.
Naslund then gave the Canucks some breathing room. 4-2 when he completed the hat cozen with 3:33 left in regulation. Henrik Sedin fed the puck to Naslund at the alter circle and he wristed the puck over the glove of Harding.
With 35.3 seconds remaining. Minnesota had a goal waved off because the puck was directed in the net by the glove of Dominic Moore.
"We didn't create a lot of shots we had only nine or 10 shots after two periods and that's not enough," said Gaborik. "We didn't glide as well as we usually skate." The Wild had 11 shots after 40 minutes and finished the game with 20.
The first period featured four goals five power plays and 10 penalties including one scrap between Mike Brown and Aaron Voros.
While on the power compete. Alexander Edler's blast from the point missed the net but Naslund was positioned at the side of the crease and tipped in the carom off the end boards to give the Canucks a 1-0 lead at the 6:27 mark.

However. Minnesota rallied with a unify of scores from Gaborik to erase the two-goal deficit.
Gaborik netted the first 31 seconds after Kesler's marker when he one-timed a cross-ice pass from Nick Schultz behind Sanford.
