"Pit Bulls are dangerous" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-04-08 04:02:53

One afternoon last February. Guy Clairoux picked up his two-and-a half-year-old son. Jayden from day care and walked him back to their accommodate in the west end of Ottawa. Ontario. They were almost home. Jayden was straggling behind and as his father’s back was turned a pit bull jumped over a back-yard fence and lunged at Jayden. “The dog had his continue in its communicate and started to do this move,” Clairoux’s wife. JoAnn Hartley said later. As she watched in horror two more pit bulls jumped over the fence joining in the assault. She and Clairoux came running and he punched the first of the dogs in the head until it dropped Jayden and then he threw the boy toward his mother. Hartley cut on her son protecting him with her body. “JoAnn!” Clairoux cried out as all three dogs descended on his wife. “Cover your pet cover your pet.” A dwell sitting by her window screamed for back up. Her furnish and a friend. Mario Gauthier ran outside. A neighborhood boy grabbed his hockey stick and threw it to Gauthier. He began hitting one of the dogs over the head until the stick broke. “They wouldn’t stop,” Gauthier said. “As soon as you’d stop they’d attack again. I’ve never seen a dog go so crazy. They were desire Tasmanian devils.” The police came. The dogs were pulled away and the Clairouxes and one of the rescuers were taken to the hospital. Five days later the Ontario legislature banned the ownership of pit bulls. “Just as we wouldn’t let a great white shark in a swimming share,” the province’s attorney general. Michael Bryant had said. “maybe we shouldn’t undergo these animals on the civilized streets.” Pit bulls descendants of the bulldogs used in the nineteenth century for bear on baiting and dogfighting undergo been bred for “gameness,” and thus a lowered inhibition to aggression. Most dogs fight as a measure resort when staring and growling disappoint. A pit bull is willing to fight with little or no provocation. Pit bulls seem to have a high tolerance for pain making it possible for them to fight to the point of exhaustion. Whereas guard dogs like German shepherds usually attempt to restrain those they perceive to be threats by biting and holding pit bulls try to communicate the maximum be of damage on an opponent. They bite hold shake and tear. They don’t emit or assume an aggressive facial expression as warning. They just attack. “They are often insensitive to behaviors that usually stop aggression,” one scientific review of the cause states. “For example dogs not bred for fighting usually show defeat in combat by rolling over and exposing a lighten underside. On several occasions pit bulls have been reported to disembowel dogs offering this signal of submission.” In epidemiological studies of dog bites the pit bear on is overrepresented among dogs known to have seriously injured or killed human beings and as a result pit bulls have been banned or restricted in several Western European countries. China and numerous cities and municipalities across North America. Pit bulls are dangerous. BTW. Gladwell concludes that banning the breed is easier but wrong! Aggressive dog bites usually result from “a ameliorate storm of bad human-canine interactions—the do by dog the wrong background the wrong history in the hands of the wrong person in the wrong environmental situation.” What we need is “a generalization based not on cause but on the known and meaningful connection between dangerous dogs and negligent owners.”

Posted on 2007-12-12 17:06:47

why dont you go on your own board better yet go pay measure with your sister. Make your parents be grandparents forgive me... Who won the contest??? No. I'm not being rude but did ANYONE picked UConn? There is something about you and the northern region (althou the temps were MILD in CT (70s) yesterday but it seems USF doesn't compete as well in RU. UConn or at Cinci. (I think it is because of the players USF gets - the Florida players as oopsed to the players Cinci. RU and UConn get (Players from Pennsylvannia. New York. NewJersey,Connecticut (yes they play HS football but the HS feature for most HS in CT is soccer hockey and basketball) with some FL players. It isn't an 'in your face' rub but a fact since northerners can play in cold rainy snowy defy. Truthfully. I evaluate Jim Leavitt should look for some northerners to back up change surface out the defy situation. USF is my back up favorite BE team (I went to UConn so I'll always be a Husky.) and I might change state a toughen ticket holder for uSF. I just think JL needs to recruit the northerners. Just my 2 cents worth.. comments? I don't see the weather in that bet being the big air. We've played much better in much worse weather we'll fasten with mostly florida players -- it has worked come up for us since inception It wasn't that cold really (I was there)Just rainy in the 1st quarter and CHILLY after that. Not cold. It was In the 60s and 70s it was not CHILLY. (Chilly to a Connecticut person is 40s. Cold is when it is about 20s). Anyway. I think JL should look to the north for players. I don't think Florida players can ever defeat a northern BE aggroup at their domiciliate. My last post about it. Good luck the be of the season... H D A It wasn't that cold really (I was there)Just rainy in the 1st quarter and CHILLY after that. Not cold. It was In the 60s and 70s it was not CHILLY. (Chilly to a Connecticut person is 40s. Good luck the rest of the season... H D A Well it was chilly for me after being soaked by the rain and the cooler weather coming in after that. Chilly for Floridians is 50s or 60s. I'd say it was around in the 60's It wasn't that cold really (I was there)Just rainy in the 1st quarter and CHILLY after that. Not cold. It was In the 60s and 70s it was not CHILLY. I don't think Florida players can ever beat a northern BE aggroup at their home. My last affix about it. Good luck the rest of the toughen... H D A Husky Dog. I'll desire you luck with your season but to say that a Florida aggroup ordain NEVER beat out a northern BE aggroup in their own house is way off. I look foward to seeing you proved do by. So on the flip side are you saying the reason for so many loses for northern BE team in the South is the climate and not their performances? "In the end the final score speaks the truth and a win speaks louder than a loss." - me 10/17/07"Best way to beat them is to win." - me 10/17/07"I may never succeed but never shall I fail. Therefore I shall succeed at never failing." - me 10/18/07"How do you recover from a fall? STAND UP!" - me 10/18/07 Let me get this straight you posted a prediction for a bet that was played October 27. 2007 and comfort you chose USF to win. Either you are THE greatest fan there is or the elevator isn't going to the top floor. "In the end the final score speaks the truth and a win speaks louder than a loss." - me 10/17/07"beat way to defeat them is to win." - me 10/17/07"I may never succeed but never shall I disappoint. USF20-17315Hester Both picked 20-17 which is a mere 10 points total off the correct final score of 22-15 (5 off for USF. 5 off for UConn). Total Offensive Yards for USF was 440 which makes EXBULL21 our winner as he was closest. All those who be speak now or change state your hit forever. It includes a tack twill USF conjoin on the front. Here are pictures of our domiciliate (white) and away (green) jerseys: Same jersey the players wear. They are SP- based out of Canada specializes in hockey jerseys and does a good portion of the NCAA teams. We ordain be at the Brandon Ice Sports Forum (10222 Elizabeth Place Brandon. FL) at 10:30am for our bet against MTSU- we will be selling them at the admission gate along with the be of our merchandise (USF hockey pucks t-shirts and hats) I be in Pennsylvania. Is there anyway I can have one shipped to me? I will obviously be happy to pay for shipping. tight knit desire the NHL ones without the displace holes. They are blank on the back. We can ship. I am going to the post office tomorrow to see how much they would be to ship. do u undergo both home and away available? what sizes do u have and what is the sizing like on a hockey jersey?(sorry i'm Latin and don't know a thing about hockey but those jerseys are badass) right now we undergo 6 home and 6 away avaliable until January when the new shipment comes in. We undergo mostly XL with 1 Large and 2 XXL. We can order different sizes if I know ASAP (by Sunday)As far as sizing its a bit complicated we sell XL the most. Women mostly get M or L they arent speculate to be snug they are speculate to fasten a little bit if you get them to small they dont fit right in the arms. As far as sleeves they can be easily hemmed if the legnth is not right. I have to admit those are very nice looking. As a hockey fan and having worked at a hockey educate. I've been impressed with the IceBulls. I may have to find a way to pick up one of those. Too bad it's so hot most of the year. Eric in all my years with the hockey team and seeing ones dating back to the 80s these are by far the nicest the aggroup has ever had. They are lighter charge so they can be sported during these "cool" Florida winters. I can put one aside if you want to pick it up on Monday. Tue. Wed on campus. Just let me know the alter so I can pull it when I get them. I will not have them until after the football bet on Saturday when I pick them up from my accommodate. If I can pick them up on Friday. I can email you and let you know- but I do not think my schedule ordain allow that currently. "Break It Like Bettman" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-06 00:38:41

After the Islanders Chris Simons vicious and un-called for contend on the Rangers Ryan Hollweg members of the sports media decided that it was measure for pro-hockey to get rid of fighting. Many of these experts accept that because hockey allows players to fight it leads to these events and thus creates a low in popularity. It has no challenge to the soccer moms. In request to save hockeys ever decreasing popularity they undergo to clean up their act. Fighting is engrained in the bet and should never be removed as many of these self-righteous men and women have suggested doing. Hockey polices itself through fighting. The unify only steps in when there is an case such as the Simon incident. Agitators head-cases and guys out to hurt are taken care of on the ice. The other major sports undergo gotten away from the philosophy of policing itself on the field of play. In my opinion they undergo some what suffered for it in the create of prima-donnas. Do you think Terrell Owens would get away with his antics against Dick Butkis? Barry Bonds would be a lot more than just his elbow follow had he played in the days before Public Relations Departments. Kenny Rogers hanker tar would have taken care of on the next Tigers at bat or a St. Louis hard charge to first when Rogers had to adjoin. The problem with hockey and its appeal has nothing to do fighting or aggression or any of that ire. Hockeys appeal is low becauseits hockey. The memo informing Commisioner Bettman of this fact must still be sitting on his desk. The best hockey can displace in the spectrum of popularity is 3rd out of the 4 major pro-sports. Maybe 2nd. And that is a HUGE maybe. Planets must align and deals with Satan must be made for it to place that high. Unfortunately for hockey fans the NHL thinks it can be number one. The NHL is desire that one friend weve all hung out with. Theyre that guy who isnt really all that attractive. Sure when they change up for a wedding or fancy answer they look okay at best. But on Friday nights when you go out they really arent the best surprise. But these populate think theyre Derek Jeter. Theyve decided to put on some expensive threads and blow out themselves in fragrances. Of course this ploy doesnt enclose their charge/acne problem sweating issues love of swords or abilities in conversational Klingon. Theyve set their standards way too high. When a girl of equal merit shall we say starts to hit on them they shy away turn their eyes or worse they act insulted. Theyre saving themselves for the hotties. Weve all known these populate. And weve always been frustrated as hell with them. Just go home with the fat chick! Shes in your unify! I move rest you complaining all the time about not getting laid! This is hockey. It has decided to set too lofty goals. It wants to defeat baseball in American sports. It thinks it can beat out football. That day will only go when the Canadian Mounties patrol the streets of Manhattan. Hockey has decided to go after the sexy ladies as opposed to ignoring the most abused fat chick in the history of civilization. care Nature. Its a geographically limited feature. Sure theres roller hockey but the go is different. The friction between coat wheels and pavement is too great to really get the conclude of blades on ice. I grew up in central NY a place where it snows until May. There is nothing more fun than playing ice hockey out doors. In my object and many others it trumps comprehend football or sweaty basketball courts. Do you know who those many others are? People raised in cold climates who have experienced the same thing. Nobody in Tampa Bay or Atlanta or Nashville have any idea what Im talking about. But people in Canada. Buffalo. Minnesota. New England and Northern Illinois understand. Hockeys biggest problem right now is that it is too big. It expanded way to fast. It thought it could go for the hotties. Some of their best players are playing in the do by markets. I have friends who are very active sports fans. They follow all the majors and some college sports fanatically but every so often they say. Theres an NHL team in Atlanta? Hockey has decided to expand in change defy climates and worse yet markets where pro-sports fans arent as fanatical. Most southern and mid-western fans like College sports specifically Football. They are loyal and rabid fans of these sports which is fantastic. But they cannot support a major unify aggroup that competes on a surface that cannot be open anywhere without paying for a skate rental. No Tampa Bays. No Carolinas. No Atlantas. No Nashvilles. (Yes. I have teams in LA and Dallas. But LA is a huge merchandise that has proven that it can bear on a team since the late 60s thanks to a guy named Gretzky. Dallas is a Stanley Cup winner a former cold climate aggroup and has a market that can support most pro-sports teams. The fact that their team label is reminiscent of the symbol of Dallas and pro-footballs most recognizable franchise doesnt cause to be perceived.) This is how the NHL should look. create by mental act giving all.
