Draft has been released and the league is activated. Waiver priorities have been set. All undrafted players are now subject to waiver claims for 48 hours. After that time period they will become free agents and available on a first come first served basis. Any dropped players will be subject to the 48 hour WW before becoming free agents. Waver priorities are set to the inverse order of the first round of the draft. The following players are still not in the Yahoo database and are represented by the corresponding placeholders. Please do not waste your waver priority picking these players up. You have exclusive rights to said player as long as you maintain roster space for them. Either keep the placeholder on your roster or maintain an empty slot on your roster. I will be watching. Addendum: Since Fosten has multiple players not yet in the Yahoo Data base he must keep the placeholder assigned to that specific player(s) that he wants to maintain exclusive rights to so we can differentiate whose rights he wants to keep. For example: if he only wants the rights to Sammy Sosa he must keep the placeholder assigned to him. Since all other managers with similar players only have one they just need to have one empty spot on their roster. I have had overtures for one of my 4 closers. I am leaning toward seeing how things shake out in the first month befor parting with one but please if you have a comparably drafted SP to trade shoot me an offer. FYI. Papelbon the closer would have gone 3.10-4.05 IMHO. Would swap 1 vs 1 for another 3B or part of multiplayer deal. Plz send offers via yahoo. Ill conter or accept any resonable offers. Finally got to my hotel room at 1 A. M after 16 hrs' flight. Intend to go to the Mets game this afternoon. Hope the big rain storm is not coming...... By the way watch out Aggy. I noticed that everyone (myself included) slumped badly once he posted anything here. Errr can I revoke my cliam that Pujols is a slam dunk #1.. just kidding if there is one certainty in this game its that he will hit. But my gosh. Arod is going nuts! If it wasnt for Dunn and Hudson my offense would be beyond horrible. Pitching is ok though. I restate that either ensberg or luke scott from Houston are on the block. Another PPD game from Houston today hurts me. Gotta get rid of one of em. Same here Electroman. And now I have my #1 SP drafted as a set-up man. Thanks Charlie Manuel! I know I joked in rationale thread about Myers moving to the bullpen but that was as the closer. But 8th inning set-up guy? WTF?? Gotta like what I see so far: My hitters have been solid with some under and over achievers but they are balancing out. And Albert isn't hitting yet. Hudson will come back to earth and I hope Roberts doesn't miss too much time. My staff has been excellent except for Reyes who I expoect to bounce back. Shields. Gorzy and El douche (before he hit the DL predictably) have been very nice surprises especially Shields who is avergaing better than a K/IP. Im right on pace for innings and it looks like I'll have a closer to move soon. Looking for speed and runs at this point. Shoot me an offer. I noticed you have Freddy Garcia on your staff. Did you happen to catch the video of Garcia running into an equipment cart during batting practice last night? Hopefully he was not injured badly and will be able to start tonight. To be be clear: I AM NOT PROTESTING this trade as I can see a rationale behind it though I may think it a bit uneven aren't they all. In the RIBC managers have to be left to their own devices and unless it is ridiculous (which this one isn't) then we need to let it go. 2. I am begging you if you put a player the quality of Crawford on the block give us a little time to make an offer. I would have offered F Cordero and Bay for him. I do check this board almost every day so it is not my lack of activity but at 2:30 you make it known he is available and several hours later you make the deal. Give us a day or two to make offers. Initially. I thought that the trade was a little unbalanced myself. Hubble sent a note with the offer saying lets try to shake something up all players are under performing. Feel free to send a counter. Looking at the 2006 stats I was very surprised at how closely they finished last season. Along with this seasons stats. I felt like it was a pretty even deal. Crawford has a little more power and SB than Ichirc but Ichiro is no slouch on the basepaths and a better OBP. Plus Crawford has been complaining about the new surface at the Trop and that's why he only has 7 SB this year. The ranking numbers that players are assigned by Yahoo are pretty worthless once the season begins. Bandos. I guess I should have waited a bit but while Crawford for Cordero and Bay would have been a sweet deal for me it might have raised a few eyebrows. Even though there has been some non specific trade talk very few names have been mentioned and no actual trades had been made. I'll admit that I should have held out a bit but I've had buyers remorse on Zambrano since the minute I draft him and I jumped at the opportunity to dump his under preforming ass. As far as trades go in post #4 I was asked about Guru's policy on disputed trades. I looked for hours all the way back to the beginning of the initial RIBC rules but could find no direct quote. I know what the policy is in the RIFC and would think that they are similar. They are pretty much exactly as written in the rules of our Yahoo site. In a nutshell if at least 4 people hit the "decline trade" button the trade goes to a commissioners review. It doesn't say what happens if the commish is involved in said trade. But in the RIFC if x amount of protests occur a league poll is taken and if 50% of the league veto the trade then the trade is not approved. All of the RotoGuru Invitation league rules are pretty similar so I'll assume this is it. However if at least 4 people protest it. I'll post the question on the RIBC thread to clarify. Will my saga with Brett Myers ever end? Figures that just as my team is rolling and I mean rolling something goes wrong. I was close to picking up Alfonseca and Madson last night when news of the injury broke but couldn't bring myself to do it let alone to chose between them. Good luck to both of you with those pick-ups. Memo to Carlos Delgado and Adam Laroche: I'm still waiting for both of you to get hot. With the Myers injury the time to pick up the slack is now. Being a Phillies fan. I was watching the game and didn't even think about my fantasy team when Myers was injured. I was angry because the game should have been over and Myers should never have been injured. Catcher Barajas failed to block the plate allowing the tying run to score on a throw that easily beat the runner. Earlier in the inning there was another defensive blunder when the Phillies didn't get an out on a sacrifice bunt. Gawd.. I hope that Ryan Howard returne to prior years form when he returns from 15 DL on Friday. He should have started the season on the 60 day DL the way he has played so far. An absolute bust as the 2nd player chosen in the draft. And then there is my other "big-time RBI/Slug%. Mr Garrett Atkins who is already showing up on some FA lists in other Yahoo leagues. Atkins 2007 season so far reminds me of Jeff Cirillo. Well. I will really miss Peavy but with only 7 points from R and SB combined the move really makes sense. Once Roberts and Hamilton come off the DL. I'll have a glut of OF and an available CL. I'll be looking for SP probably. So if Griffey. Bay. Brynes (who has been great for me!) or Dunn are of interest (or Hamilton) shoot an offer. While you will miss Peavy. I hope that he keeps up what he has been doing and can help my weak pitching. With Sizemore you will get a run scoring machine. Didn't really want to part with him but I have a lot of OF and it was a real good offer that I couldn't pass up. I know hind sight is 20/20 but if I could make my #'s 3 and 4 picks again would I ever love a do over. Who would of ever thought that Rivera would have 4 saves and a high ERA. And McCann well position scarcity is not a way at looking at a draft. Well live and learn. Maybe they know something that I don't. I've got no major issues with the trade but would love to hear the rationale behind it. It ends up being Peavy/Bay for Halliday/Sizemore. I think it will be good for me as I will get a few xtra SB's with a little diminished power. If Halliday stays healthy he should be close to Peavy the rest of the way. As I predicted my starting pitching is good and my offensive production okay. I'm still getting used to the offensive settings--runs and rbis in particular. I might want to trade Alan Embree and one of my 8 starters. I need hitters (any position is fine). You can ask for Escobar. Germano or Matsuzaka. Or you might want Wainwright or Josh Johnson. All offers welcome but please shoot me fair ones. Open for 1 on 1 too... And if there is any beleiver in Berkman for the 2nd half i'll take offers too there too. No ridiculous offers will be replied to. But be certain that i'll consider any fair offers and make a reply. Hmmm... I could be falling back to earth after a magical two week ride running from 9th to 3rd on the back of offensive surge by 4 (way to many) Colorado players running amuck at home). Ryan Howard (he had been MIA for April May) and waiver wire gold of Willits and Hart. I would consider trading LAD stud (and new SP) Billingsly for serious R. RBI. SLUG type CI. Also. MI/2B Valentin and OF Tavares (Steals and R producer) are available for lower level R. RBI. SLUG or possibly a closer. If I wanted to discuss the merits or work out a trade. I write directlty to the other manager. I know the discussions I've had with Bandos and Jumpball to drop a few names have been cordial and positive eventhough not culminating in a trade. Regrettably in past leagues (2006 RIBC Football). I have gone direct to "the boards" denigrating a trade offer. Doing such has a chilling effect on future offers from the "offending" manager and others offended by the post. I speak with some experience here having posted opening offers to the boards with out communicating first with the offering manager and then finding myself black listed (rightfully so) in future trade discussions ). To me trade offers are private to allow discussions with out alerting the league as to specific players offered and requested (chills the bidding process) and not disclosing league wide mine or another manager's player evaluation and valuation process. I suppose one doesn't think an offer will be taken as a joke by another unless one clearly understands how the other manager evaluates players. I try to stick with my values and not adopt another's. IMHO quality SP is the hardest in season acquisition off waivers and has more trade value than hittting. Berkman has not performed close to his pre-season projections although he appears to be improving. Ranks 135 YTD and 91st last month in Yahoo ranks. Billingsly. Ranks 192 YTD and 132nd last month but as a non-closing RP. To me his value increases by joining LAD rotation becoming a source of W. K. ERA (YTD and last years stats agree with me) with an acceptable ERA YTD (although as a starter last year his WHIP sucked). Whether or not flawed. I've laid out my reasoning. Having done so let me publicly apologize for offering the trade.. sarcasm intended. I've done enought Fantasy Sports to know how trade process works. It all starts with a trade offer. It doesnt have to be absolutly fair none are really perfectly fair. But it's kinda hard to imagine someone wants to have cordial and positive discussion when the basis is that kind of offer. Berkman is my 2.1 (first roudner in many drafts)... Billingsley is 24th rounder.. and undrafted in many draft. Now i perfectly know that we are not at spring training and that value now is not the same. But plz.. you know what i mean. I didnt ask for appologies by the way. I was just surprised that it came from a veteran. And i certainly didnt mean to make a big story out of it. I'm still open to "relativly fair offers" from everyone including good ol' taxman :) Berkman is my 2.1 (first roudner in many drafts)... Billingsley is 24th rounder.. and undrafted in many draft. Now i perfectly know that we are not at spring training and that value now is not the same But plz.. you know what i mean I did sit for 1 hour looking at all the teams trying to figure out fair trade offers to trigger some talk and frankly i never found it so hard in any league. And i suspect we all feel the same since there is barely no trade action (7 trades so far is very few IMHO). The funny part of it is that the league is farely active on the f/a market 11 of the 16 teams made more than 19 moves so far. Other manager who did less than 19 are active managers that i know (Bandos. TD jumpball and wolfer) I actually don't know where i'm going with all that.. just a remark i guess. It's a real competive league (active managers) and i guess no1 wants to make a blunder and loose some ground. I read in 2 sources that A. Hill was going on the DL. I go to the Yahoo game site and sure enough he's listed as NA and they say he's headed to the DL. So I go to our very shallow WW and swap him out for another lousy MI. I guess that I should have known that Jake Peavy wasn't going to keep it up all year. When I traded for him he was 7-1. 1.68 ERA and 92 k's in 80.1 innings. Since being on my team. 2-3. 3.46 ERA and 38 k's in 44.2 innings. I hope that Sizemore has done better for you Bandos. Willis. Lee and the rest of my starters except for Jeff Francis have been terrible. That being said if anyone has an excess of pitching and wants to make a trade look over my roster and let me know. In case anyone hasn't noticed. Yahoo starting lineups symbols are not always correct. I usually check MLB com for starting lineups but ran late and just ent by Yahoo's stoopid symbols. Well Giambi had an "x" which means not starting. Funny. I was out on a boat for so long that this was the first time I had to check this board. That was a good night. I'll need some more of those before this one is done. What a power move by the taxman - when you opened up the 10 pt lead on me. I though it was done but there is quite a lot of movement still with some bunched groups in many categories. Feel like I am scrapping the bottom with my pitching as usual - just hoping it holds out. I found that R. RBI's and Slug seem to be connected at the hip. Back in May. I was either a 1. 2 or 3 in each of those categories. As sluggers such as Atkins. Howard (and Burrell @ all star break) found their stroke in late May/early June each of those categories rose @ 10 places in AAA league standings. My OBP had/has been in the 14+ range all season. My conclusion is that OBP helps but R and RBI's appeared tied to Slug.. maybe that is a backwards way of agreeing as w/o the Slug component of OPS nothing was happening for me. I can see no trend here. Bandos leads the pack with a 26.5 combined slug and OBP yet he has only 11 in combined Runs and RBI's. Compare Uptown with only a 12 OBP+Slug and blowing the league away in combined Runs and RBI's. I cannot not come up with a theory that reconciles the difference in offensive output for Bandos and Uptown Bombers. And to answer Bandos' original question per Uptown's results you don't need either OBP or Slug to generate Runs (and RBI's). This is incredibly nerve wracking the differnece between 2nd and 7th (BTW: Congrats Tax - awesome job this year) is only 6.5 points. Only the top 3 move up right. TOR blowing the Win for Halliday hurt last night. We had a tie for third not sure how that will be handled by the RIBC but I did post our final standings on the 2007 RIBC thread over in the Baseball Forum so it's preserved for posterity. What a cruel season it was for me.. after a start in the basement i worked my way all the way to 105 pts in august and expected great things for the last month with Burnett and Blalock finnaly coming off the DL.. just to see my team implode in the last month. Here are # from Zambrano in aug. 0-4 7.06 era 1.88 whip... Penny was almost as bad and Crawford went DL. Gagne traded.. and on and on... Its always fun to see top guys being the most active manager!!! Top 3 teams are the 3 most active. (i willfully ignore uptown's team to make make point :)!!! Congrats to Taxman for winning the league. Making all those moves worked out well for him. I ended up.5 point out of a 3rd place. One more SB and my team would have been in third place alone. I am disappointed Yahoo decided not to count tonights game and given me one more chance for a SB. Congrats Taxman. It was quite a competitive league. Many good managers. I learned quite a bit playing with all of you most importantly get some pitching earlier in the draft. Are we going to some sort of recap or is this it? I had to stop making some moves especially pitching pickups b/c they started to bomb. In particular my string of MR's most of whom immediately gave up 3 and 4 run innings after pick up. If I had made 80 moves. I would be down the rankings. :) First off. I undervalued pitching and figured that I could pick up some along the way. I did that but my picks were not as I had hoped. Willis. Patterson and Millwood didn't really perform like I had hoped. And the terrible stats of Millwood and Patterson hurt me all year. One thing that I kicked myself for the whole year is a mistake that happened during the draft. A player got chosen that wasn't supposed to(Hey it happens). I know that I had Beckett and E. Santana in the queue and I believe that Beckett was on top. I could have corrected it but didn't thinking that Beckett would fall to me. He got picked up a few picks before my turn came around. I had to get that off my chest because that could have changed a few things on my team. Hind sight is 20/20 right. Also position scarcity doesn't over ride over all talent. 2.06 Jimmy Rollins – perfect compliment to Ortiz…#2 SS as I predicted 3.11 Vernon Wells – MULLIGAN!.. worst pick of my draft…worse yet that I held onto him waaaaay too long…add in the fact that I passed on ichiro here…UGHHH 4.06 Trevor Hoffman – exactly what I expected from hoffman…40 saves and good ratios 5.11 John Lackey – thought he was my SP1 at the time…very please with #7 ranked SP 7.11 Richie Sexson – 2nd bad pick of the draft for me…didn’t last long on my roster 8.06 Brandon Phillips - #1 rated 2B made me very happy with this pick 9.11 Justin Verlander – solid SP2 pick for me…ended up #15 among SP at the end 10.06 Aubrey Huff – hated this pick the moment I made it…I missed on 3B and it plagued me all year 11.11 Josh Beckett – he was supposed to be my SP3…he ended up #4 overall…great returns with this pick 12.06 Kenji Johjima – wish martin had made it to me here…johjima gave me my 2nd position that plagued me most of the year 13.11 Roger Clemens – gambled here…didn’t really pay off but luckily my other SP overachieved for their draft slots 14.06 Jorge Cantu – he was supposed to be my MI…he turned out not being on a MLB roster shortly after the draft 15.11 Jeremy Hermida – his final numbers exceeded my projections…helped replace the numbers I missed from wells 16.06 John Garland – not the 18 win season he had the 2 previous years 17.11 Craig Monroe – passed on victorino and capps…not a good decision 18.06 Pedro Martinez – returned later than I had hoped…but he gave me a nice push now the stretch 20.06 Gary Matthews Jr. – very good pre all-star splits gave good value here 22.06 Tim Lincecum – great pick if I could’ve been more patient…having Clemens and pedro on my roster limited my flexibility early on and cost me lincecum… 23.11 Tony Graffanino – gave me position flexibility for a while…which was important with 2 NAs on my bench 24.06 Doug Davis – 8-2 in the second half didn’t help me after the 5-10 first half turned out to be a pretty successful draft…very good at 1B. 2B. SS and SP serviceable at CI. OF and RP and obvious weaknesses at C. 3B and MI (which I pointed out immediately in my draft recap)… Sacrificed priority to pick up Gallardo the day before Braun cleared (not sure now if I would’ve gotten Braun either way…but damn did I need his numbers at 3b) Being active saved me a lot of points…I was able to fill holes all season long with FA pickups…some good and some bad…but that is to be expected. Down the stretch I feel I did a very good job of maximizing my points…I managed with an eye on specific categories and was able to get all the points I was after…im satisfied that I didn’t lose any categories by a small margin that I felt I could’ve overcome…im sure others are pretty frustrated since I did manage to win a couple points by very narrow margins…if only fosten hadn’t reemerged to stream spot starters. I could’ve squeaked out one more point in K and held 3rd to myself… Very fun season…love the leagues with active owners…look forward to next season and anxious to see what comes from our tie for the final spot… 2.16Jason Bay - just awful for a second rounder perfomed like a 15th rounder. My guess he's hurt. What would it have been like had I grabbed Vmart here (the whole 3rd round was basically a bust except the closers) I did turn him into Halladay after trading Peavy which was good fortune for me. 3.01Jake Peavy - was everything I expected and more swapped him for Sizemore who helped me get 14 points in SB and I still had some pitching. 6.16Brian Fuentes - was fine until he lost his job. I ended up with 4 closers and had a huge lead in saves traded away two thinking I could hold on with only two. Then Fuentes lost his job and I ened up losing a few points. 7.01Francisco Cordero - after his hot start. I traded him for Byrnes who continued his great plat all year - the 40+ SB's were great 8.16Jonathan Papelbon - top 5 closer a few more saves in SEPT would have been nice... 17.01Corey Hart held for a month and then just couldnt take seeing another 0-4 - he was the player of MAY! 18.16Rafael Betancourt great reliever who I dropped for some Owens who got me no saves 19.01Pat Neshek great all year til they blew his arm out overusing him 21.01Tom Gorzelanny solid for 4 months should have traded high as he really hurt me down the strecth 22.16Dustin Pedroia didnt have the same patience that the Sawx haddumped him for Lidge wjho I turned into Bonderman who eventually likked me in the last 6 weeks (and cost me hamilton... 23.01Josh Bard. BUST had to get estrada and then mauer - neither of which worked out. 24.16James Shields. What a great pick sold high and got mauer who then got hurt. Writing this helps me understand why my late season charge may have been a mirage. I had mounting injuries towards the end and my pitching fell apart. I had a sub 3 ERA for half the season and ened up in the middle of the pack. A lot of would coulda shoulda. I really wanted to finish in the top three and had enough of a draft to finally do it but juts came up short in the last 10 days. Mostly due to you clowns managing so well. Kudos and good luck next year. I was not going to do this as I hate reliving bad things but I did have fun and need to use this as a learning experience if I want to get better. I started off the first week in the top three which gave me a false sense of what my team was. On April 9th. I dropped 9 places with a personal worst.234 OBP and a.122 SLG. I thought I was in a slump. Little did I know that my team was just going where it belonged near the bottom of the pack. To repeat a common theme of most of us bottom dwellers in all baseball fantasy leagues in 2007: Jorge Julio. 1.09 Carl Crawford. OF-he didn’t have his best season and I had hoped to wait until the ASB to trade him but things went from bad to worse and I traded him and my second round pick for Ichiro and Aaron Harang. Got some decent numbers from both but not nearly enough. 2.08 Carlos Zambrano. SP-a bad start and I unloaded him the first offer I got. In hindsight. I should have been more patient and held him or waited for more offers to come in. 3.09 Billy Wagner. RP-in the end as he failed the Mets he failed me. Dropping into unlucky 13th place in the last 2 weeks. Despite doing a decent job of rotating SPs off the ww to get caught up in IP. I couldn’t overcome Wagner’s blown saves and equally brutal numbers 4.08 Felipe Lopez. MI-bad year on a bad team. Career high in SB but career lows in OBP and SLG. 5.09 Jason Giambi 1B-supposed to be the heart of my SLG numbers but underperformed got injured then was platooned when he finally got back. A total bust. 6.08 Robinson Canoe. 2B-probably my best draft pick. About what I hoped for numberwise. Predicted a few more SBs but not nearly enough to help my overall poorly drafted team. 7.09 Randy Johnson. SP-started the season with a bad back and ended his season early with the same. 8.08 Hank Blalock. 3B-I predicted a comeback year from him. He’ll be able to shoot for that again next year but not on my team. A throw in on the Crawford. Zambrano trade. I got Morgan Ensberg who had already lost his starters job. He lasted about a week before I dropped him. Blalock went on the DL about a week after I traded him and he spent most of the rest of the season taking up roster space on Hubble’s team. 9.09 Mike Cameron. OF-started off very slow and I dumped him before he turned things around. 10.08 Cory Patterson-another slow start but turned it up before I was ready to drop him. Injured the last month of the season or so and even though I thought he might return. He never did eating up valuable roster space. 12.08 Solomon Torres. RP-drafted as my number 2 RP. Lost his job and got injured or vice versa. Dumped shortly thereafter. 13.09-Chris Burke. OF. MI-seemed like a good idea at the time but underperformed lost his job and got sent to the minors early. 15.09 Chuck James. SP-started slow got hurt. When he was healthy he was very inconsistent. Had a short decent stretch towards the end of the season but too little too late. Too many gopher balls. 16.08 Mark DeRosa position versatility-along with the majority of the Cubs a bad start and was long gone by the time he turned things around. 17.09 Matt Capps. RP-drafted as Torres’ handcuff. Lesson learned-if you are drafting the handcuff of the Pirates closer your team sucks. 19.09 Casey Blake. OF. CI-one of the very few bright spots on this team. 21.09 Placido Polanco. MI-very serviceable MI later traded for Bronson Arroyo who I could have picked up on the ww a few weeks earlier. Won a few games for me but inconsistent at best. 22.08 Aaron Hill. MI-as opposed to most of my draft picks he started good then fizzled and dropped midseason. 23.09 Danny Baez. RP-another bad idea. Julio’s accomplice as my early season’s team killer. 25.09 Jeff Francis. SP-had a good season but not for my team. I dumped him early after he got lit up at Coors. My season was filled with impatience on players I should have been more patient on and I kept players too long that should have been dumped much earlier. And drafted poorly. In retrospect. I don’t know how I managed to finish 13th. Back to AA where I belong. But I did have fun and learned a lot as commish. So really no regrets.

Will my saga with Brett Myers ever end? Figures that just as my team is rolling and I mean rolling something goes wrong.

Draft has been released and the league is activated. Waiver priorities have been set. All undrafted players are now subject to waiver claims for 48 hours. After that time period they will become free agents and available on a first go first served basis. Any dropped players will be subject to the 48 hour WW before becoming free agents. hesitate priorities are set to the inverse order of the first round of the compose. The following players are comfort not in the Yahoo database and are represented by the corresponding placeholders. gratify do not waste your hesitate priority picking these players up. You have exclusive rights to said player as desire as you maintain roster space for them. Either keep the placeholder on your roster or maintain an empty slot on your roster. I will be watching. Addendum: Since Fosten has multiple players not yet in the Yahoo Data locate he must act the placeholder assigned to that specific player(s) that he wants to keep exclusive rights to so we can differentiate whose rights he wants to keep. For example: if he only wants the rights to Sammy Sosa he must keep the placeholder assigned to him. Since all other managers with similar players only have one they just be to undergo one empty spot on their roster. I undergo had overtures for one of my 4 closers. I am leaning toward seeing how things shake out in the first month befor parting with one but please if you undergo a comparably drafted SP to change shoot me an offer. FYI. Papelbon the closer would have gone 3.10-4.05 IMHO. Would change 1 vs 1 for another 3B or move of multiplayer broach. Plz send offers via yahoo. Ill conter or evaluate any resonable offers. Finally got to my hotel dwell at 1 A. M after 16 hrs' flight. Intend to go to the Mets game this afternoon. Hope the big rain act is not coming...... By the way check out Aggy. I noticed that everyone (myself included) slumped badly once he posted anything here. Errr can I revoke my cliam that Pujols is a close dunk #1.. just kidding if there is one certainty in this game its that he will hit. But my gosh. Arod is going nuts! If it wasnt for Dunn and Hudson my offense would be beyond horrible. Pitching is ok though. I tell that either ensberg or luke scott from Houston are on the block. WTF?? Gotta desire what I see so far: My hitters undergo been solid with some under and over achievers but they are balancing out. And Albert isn't hitting yet. Hudson will come approve to earth and I hope Roberts doesn't miss too much time. My cater has been excellent except for Reyes who I expoect to bounce back. Shields. Gorzy and El clean (before he hit the DL predictably) have been very nice surprises especially Shields who is avergaing better than a K/IP. Im right on pace for innings and it looks like I'll have a closer to move soon. Looking for go and runs at this point. Shoot me an furnish. I noticed you undergo Freddy Garcia on your staff. Did you happen to catch the video of Garcia running into an equipment cart during batting learn last night? Hopefully he was not injured badly and ordain be able to go away tonight. To be be alter: I AM NOT PROTESTING this trade as I can see a rationale behind it though I may think it a bit uneven aren't they all. In the RIBC managers have to be left to their own devices and unless it is ridiculous (which this one isn't) then we be to let it go. 2. I am begging you if you put a player the quality of Crawford on the block give us a little time to make an offer. I would undergo offered F Cordero and Bay for him. I do check this board almost every day so it is not my lack of activity but at 2:30 you make it known he is available and several hours later you make the deal. Give us a day or two to make offers. Initially. I thought that the trade was a little unbalanced myself. Hubble sent a say with the offer saying lets try to shake something up all players are under performing. Feel free to send a counter. Looking at the 2006 stats I was very surprised at how closely they finished last toughen. Along with this seasons stats. I entangle like it was a pretty even deal. Crawford has a little more cater and SB than Ichirc but Ichiro is no slouch on the basepaths and a exceed OBP. Plus Crawford has been complaining about the new surface at the Trop and that's why he only has 7 SB this year. The ranking numbers that players are assigned by Yahoo are pretty worthless once the toughen begins. Bandos. I anticipate I should undergo waited a bit but while Crawford for Cordero and Bay would have been a sweet deal for me it might have raised a few eyebrows. Even though there has been some non specific trade talk very few names undergo been mentioned and no actual trades had been made. I'll adjudge that I should have held out a bit but I've had buyers remorse on Zambrano since the minute I draft him and I jumped at the opportunity to dump his under preforming ass. As far as trades go in affix #4 I was asked about Guru's policy on disputed trades. I looked for hours all the way approve to the beginning of the initial RIBC rules but could find no enjoin ingeminate. I experience what the policy is in the RIFC and would evaluate that they are similar. They are pretty much exactly as written in the rules of our Yahoo place. In a nutshell if at least 4 populate hit the "change state trade" button the change goes to a commissioners review. It doesn't say what happens if the commish is involved in said change. But in the RIFC if x amount of protests occur a unify survey is taken and if 50% of the league veto the change then the change is not approved. All of the RotoGuru Invitation unify rules are pretty similar so I'll assume this is it. However if at least 4 people protest it. I'll affix the question on the RIBC thread to explain. Will my saga with Brett Myers ever end? Figures that just as my team is rolling and I mean rolling something goes wrong. I was close to picking up Alfonseca and Madson measure night when news of the injury broke but couldn't bring myself to do it let alone to chose between them. Good luck to both of you with those pick-ups. Memo to Carlos Delgado and Adam Laroche: I'm comfort waiting for both of you to get hot. With the Myers injury the measure to choose up the slack is now. Being a Phillies fan. I was watching the bet and didn't even think about my conceive of team when Myers was injured. I was angry because the game should have been over and Myers should never have been injured. Catcher Barajas failed to block the plate allowing the tying run to advance on a throw that easily defeat the runner. Earlier in the inning there was another defensive blunder when the Phillies didn't get an out on a sacrifice bunt. Gawd.. I hope that Ryan Howard returne to prior years form when he returns from 15 DL on Friday. He should have started the toughen on the 60 day DL the way he has played so far. An absolute bust as the 2nd player chosen in the compose. And then there is my other "big-time RBI/Slug%. Mr Garrett Atkins who is already showing up on some FA lists in other Yahoo leagues. Atkins 2007 toughen so far reminds me of Jeff Cirillo. come up. I will really miss Peavy but with only 7 points from R and SB combined the move really makes sense. Once Roberts and Hamilton go off the DL..

"RotoGuru Baseball Leagues & Standings: Dirty Dozen Discussions 2007" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-22 14:19:01

Its measure to start gearing up for 2007. We'll be handling the draft through again this year. For 2007 we are naming 6 keepers. They are due by January 31st. In addition. Ryan a k a. Great One has agreed to collect the $10 entry fee from everybody. Check your email for his communicate. He sent it out to us all on Tuesday. Dec 19 so search that delete bin if you can't find it. All checks are due before the beginning of the regular season. GO sends Delmon Young. Chone Figgins and Victor Martinez and his measure round pick to Khahan. well damn. GO don't even furnish me a second to exist lol i actually had an furnish i was going to send this morning but alas tis not to be... If you are interested in Rollins or Figgins (my 2 main speedsters) or lesser guys with potential like Baldelli or Delmon Young just shoot me an offer. With Manny gone. I'm not married to any guy on my roster. Gary Sheffield. Mark Prior. John Smoltz. Chad Cordero. Takashi Saito and Cole Hamels are available for a draft pick. glad i checked in here didn't cognise keepers were almost due were e-mails sent? if so please use this e-mail I post here. I don't check my old one anymore. Unless in the next two days someone wants Bonderman. Chris Young. Street. Jenks and Rolen for somebody better than Mauer or Dunn. if one of these guys is exceed than one of your keepers. I'll trade them for next to nothing grade my lowest pick even by one round and it's a deal. Looks like we all got our keepers posted in measure. Thanks all. I need time to set up the unify on kafenatid input any draft pick swaps and set our keepers. Sometime after that the draft will start. On a related say. I have a ton of extra picks in the first couple of rounds that I picked up through trades. Most of them are in the 2nd/3rd rounds. If you want to move down and change some extra picks let me experience! Is it possible to post a draft chart with the updated draft pick trades? I know I undergo 5 early picks that I acquired... I would back up compile it just don't know how to post it on here... some cerebrate now it is showing my pick on GOs team. I am really sorry about this eat up I saw it was my move and I picked without thinking. Hmmm. Just picked myself without really looking at the number and it shows it as being a traded pick from Da assail. I don't think that DB and I made a trade for his pick 1.02. Rev can you pause the compose while we sort this out? I am on the measure. I am not going to pick until the mess gets straightened out. The players being picked are going to those on the top of the draft order on Kafenatid and Wiggs' pick needs to be deleted. The draft request comfort seems to be backwards. Greg probably needs to contact Fred and see how he can get the draft order reversed. Guys. I screwed up and entered all managers in order of finish instead of reverse order of finish. To correct the problem. I simply traded all picks. Its gonna be a bit of pain but OTC software shows the players where they should have been taken but puts them where they belong (in other words it shows Wiggs pick in the spot it should have been taken... GO's but it actually puts wiggs choose onto his team). On another say there was a trade for the first overall pick that I missed. Correcting that now and we're good to go. All compose picks made (picks 1-3) were deleted. The trade between Wiggs and Rev was added. Rev is now on the clock then PD then me. Hey Khahan.. is it possible to put together a compose map listing the traded picks? (If you have one already made that would be great) If you don't have the measure. I could put it together if you want someone will just have to teach me how to affix it. I didn't realize the draft would go away today. I have work all day (and categorise in the evening)... To make matters worse. I thought Barilko had my 1st rd pick (actually 2nd rd pick)... so I will undergo to pick late PST tonight. Sorry for the delay. After this rd. I will be sure to use a queue during the bring home the bacon week This means that my normal non-trade picks are showing up under Little Weasle's and his picks are showing up under mine. Great Ones picks are showing up under Wiggs and Wiggs are showing up under Great Ones. Hopefully you can discern the rest. The only real tricky part is picks that were traded. 75: Rev - it looks correct in the system on Kafenatid. In the system they are listed opposite of how we do it (and we have to subtract for keeper rounds). So your trade w/ GO in the system is listed as: calculate 6 from both numbers and that is the person and they pick they received. If there is a lot of confusion maybe we could go away it all over? Don't know how much more work that would entail for Khahan though. Personally however. I am not not ready at all as I didn't know the draft would be started this soon and be a couple days to prepare. I don't undergo a 2nd rd pick (due to a trade last year). If anyone is looking to move drink in the draft injure me an telecommunicate to trade picks. re Post 80: I wouldn't be opposed to starting all over either and desire Da Bomb I am not (was not) prepared for drafting to mouth yesterday... But if it's too much work for Khahan then we'll just have to roll with the punches... re:78 I was just going by what was written in post 73 which is written the opposite of how you explained it in post 78. No problem just wanted to make sure I had the right compose pick. As far as correcting the draft sequence if I remember correctly from when I entered the information for another draft once the request was set you could not change by reversal it. I undergo no problem with starting over{with khahan plugging in the picks made up to this moment} but it would be a lot of bring home the bacon for khahan. Thanks for your work Khahan. I know its not easy plugging in all the keepers and getting the draft set up. i guess i'm really confused here didn't realize we were starting this soon but I can deal with that the compose stuff @ kafenatid is really confusing me. did I trade my 1st rd pick? I undergo no idea but even if I did. I shouldn't be drafting 4th very confused. Very simply if you undergo not actually gone in and made a pick then you have drafted anybody yet despite what the kafenatid site says. Sorry for the confusion. It was due to my mistake entering the pick sequence backwards. Once again. I traded everybody's picks so we will actually choose in order. However kafenatid will show the player drafted in the sight they were drafted (round 1. err round 7 actually because of 6 keepers) pick will be shown in that slot. But that slot is shown as Great One's on the website. If you click on the 'show all picks' link it will show you that spot was traded to Rev. (it was actually traded to Wiggs to adjust my mistake and then traded to Rev). Round 7 (actually our first round) pick 2 is showing as Da Bomb but it was actually made by Perm Dude and the player picked is on wave dudes team. This follows through the whole compose. PLease see post 73. I spoke with Khahan this morning.. unfortunately he's working (the nerve of him!) and ordain not have any access to his fantasy stuff during the day. From the sounds of things we're going to continue the draft in this change... Holt we cannot fix it. It is what it is at this point. It is your pick. The clock is not running so you do not undergo to alter a choose if you need time to prepare your sheets. However go monday when the measure is running it ordain work this way. You ordain get an email notifying you it is your pick. You make your pick. The draft.

"RotoGuru Baseball Leagues & Standings: RIBC AAA: PCL Regular ..." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-12 02:30:22

If you guys get a chance analyse out Guru's RIBC consolidated compose summary. It's interesting to see where other guys went during the compose. If you wondered whether or not you "reached" you can find your say there. It has a "min" pick (i e earliest that player was taken) and a "max" pick (being the latest they were taken) along with an average. If you were FIRST to choose compared to the other 4 RIBC drafts then yeah you have to mind. Conversely if you snagged someone later than all the rest you conclude good. I'm both guilty of 'reaching' early and grabbing late: I don't feel too bad about Rolen and Neshek as Rolen would've been gone one choose later as come up as Neshek. Can't argue Garcia too much other than me liking his WHIP and hoping the whole "From AL to NL" BS works out. Wow. I really shouldn't undergo looked at that draft summary. Maybe Beckett will win the Cy Young and make me feel exceed about overpaying for him. Interesting stuff though - very helpful for upcoming drafts. Somebody took Duch in the 10th. I was the first to take Zumaya and Shields but it looks desire overall I only grabbed them about 1 round too early on average. I knew I had a bad OF. This just shows that not only are they not that great. I over payed for all of them. I think I picked each and every one of them the earliest. I don't evaluate anyone was really bashing you about the guys you picked... I think it's somewhat unusual that you would have used three picks in a row on them however. I like all three of those guys and perhaps having them will really help out. Again. I don't evaluate that's really in disbelieve either... For my own move it's pure jealousy to be honest... Never said anyone was bashing the picks. I don't experience taking Zumaya or Shields but if I had been actively drafting instead of using a hit Q for 8-9 rounds I would undergo taken Duch later and gone after a stronger SP instead most notably Dan Cabrera. Ervin Santana or Boof Bonser. According to Guru's consolidated draft stats. 15 of my 25 picks and 5 of my first 10 picks were taken sooner than the add up. By this standard I am either an astute judge of talent or I ordain be making significant use of the waiver equip this season. I'm not so worried about taking higher than the average - just more concerned about the real "reach" of taking him before any other league. I think those drafters towards either end will by osmosis perhaps be more guilty of that than anyone - most of my 'reaches' were in the odd-numbered go when I had the 3rd pick in that go and had 26 picks until my next one - thus if you be a player you undergo to clutch him or say sayonara. Wow. I was the measure to take a player on my odd-numbered rounds 4 straight picks 5.10 - 11.10 (Roberts,King Felix,Uggla, and Burnett) of cover with 13.10 I was first to take Jacobs... Species - Yahoo has added the unlisted player I drafted. Matt Lindstrom. gratify go into managers functions and change his waiver go out to 'remove Agent' and I can add him to my roster. Of course his rotisserie value is down now that the Marlins aquired Julio. Andrew allhair and Toral --> don't forget to set your lineup. You still undergo everyone on the remove. It has a vertical be line showing the standings for each category where the top and bottom are the high and low and then a line indicating where each person stands. Gives you an idea visually of how obtain your current placing is in each category and how many are in reach to go. I'm looking for a CI or a SP. I'd be willing to move one of my OF or MI for the right offer. I'd be most interested in someone with 3B eligibility. Looks like Eldred played today but Yahoo doesnt have him available. just wanted to alert the comish that he was my 25th pick when Yahoo alter him available Once the toughen starts. Yahoo traditionally automatically adds new players to the database on the morning following their first MLB appearance. Looks desire Eldred is now there you just be the commish to reset the waiver date so you can pick him up. Weykool - You can't do anything until Species wipes out Eldred's waiver date using his commissioner powers. Send him an email. Once the waiver go out is reset you can pick up Eldred and he'll be on your next day roster. Everything updated book on the roster but it looks like the pickup of Eldred was processed as a waiver pickup. Species will undergo to modify Weykool's waiver priority. Other people undergo made waiver moves so you cannot define everyone approve to inverse compose request. Based on the fact he has not made a waiver act. Weykool should be re-slotted right between Loki and Smith32. Today is a very special occasion that must be marked. Today is the one day of the season that I'm in first place in the PCL League stay tuned for changes starting tomorrow ;) I agree with the "everybody should get a couple days at the top" concept. It's a real ego bring up and makes you think you did something alter on compose day at least for a day. It's Thursday and I'm still in first? Did I miss those flying pigs? Wait a minute. I evaluate a manipulate just came out of my... never mind false affright. There is a new commisioner feature called EDIT unify HISTORY. If you want to set it up for each year it ordain allow you to decide all related RIBC leagues from past seasons. When completed there ordain be an "ALL TIME" tab under standings. Now we could see all the RIBC leagues history in one displace. It is comfort too early to get too concerned. It does not act much to get a jump in the standings. I was in 14th place about 10 days ago now I am in 3rd. I evaluate most of my movement in ERA and WHIP was related to my stats standing comfort but alot of people having their ERA and beat take a nose come down in recent days. By the way. I spent at least a couple hours yesterday trying to end whether to use my #3 waiver priorirty to make a claim on Phil Hughes. I was not sure if after his next go away if he'd change surface have a schedule in Yankee the rotation and may be approve in the minors. So I was debating the gamble. It was all discuss since darkside yanked him with a higher waiver priority. In my case sometimes a good waiver slot is a contradict because it makes it that much harder to decide whether to displace the trigger. I also had a waiver claim on Hughes and it is likely that other managers from the NY area or those who follow the NYYs did too. Of the two NY teams the Yankees usually do not overestimate their pitching prospects as do the Mets. It was a good choose up. It wasn't too hard of a decision for me to use my priority. There aren't going to be too many prospects called up this year (especially this early) who are as good as Hughes. Obviously the problem is whether he'll be up. But. I'm thinking he's safe to either be up or not be sent approve down for long. The Yankees rotation is far too suspect to let his talent stay in the minors. It was a different story in my AL H2H unify (puget sound) since it's not uncommon for a feature to get traded from the NL to AL. I decided to deliver my #1 priority in that unify for Clemens or this year's Carlos Lee. Darkside-I have had either LaRoche or Loney on my team but decided that Loney had more potential. LA promoted LaRoche first to replace Betemit change surface though he is batting only.235 in the minors because Loney has not duplicated his move training or his 2006 MLB stats. If Laroche is doesn't hit. LA may compete Garciaparra at 3rd and Loney at 1st. (I wish!!)-l Figured it was worth a shot to clutch him. I don't see him getting to.
