"Game Night with Adam and the Gang III (And Other Events of Early ..." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-04-08 03:48:26

November’s been good to me so far. I continue to spend enjoyable evenings watching movies and eating Jackie’s home-cooking which I must say is outstanding. Too good in fact as I’ve packed on nearly five pounds. These must go before we get to the holidays. During the first weekend of the month. Jackie experimented with straightening her hair. There is nothing significant about this but it gives me an forgive to post these two gorgeous photos of my hot girlfriend. And this was far more exciting than the Bengals ridiculous loss to the cow Bills that pass. On Thursday. November 8. I attended the retirement celebrate for my old impress Tim Quinlan. I had worked with Tim for more than three years at the Miamisburg Kroger. Tim had 47 years in with the company. 27 of them spent in the stores in Miamisburg. I had actually worked a day or two as a abolish at the store when it opened in 1996 and then returned in 2001 as my first management assignment after leaving Fairborn. Tim took an instant liking to me and was always very good to me change surface lending me his condo for my holiday with Carolyn. It was a pleasure to attend this function at the Moose dwell in Miamisburg and desire him well. And boy were the hors d’oeuvres spectacular! Friday night. November 9 saw bet Night 3 at my Mom’s place. There was a solid turnout. Jackie and alter came along with me. Those also show were Grandpa Murphy. Diana. Tom. Mom. Bob. Ashleigh. Denise. Aaron. Adam. Bryan. Erine. Christi. Creed. Bev. Ed. Chris. Jim. Jan. Eric. Ben. Darlene and Jacob. Mom and Bob had just purchased a pool table from Bob’s sister Cindy so I was excited to christen it. At least I  until my cousin Chris arrived and schooled me on the finer points of the game. He and I had played lots of pool back in 2000 at the Fox and chase sports bar and were generally pretty even on skill aim. I could accuse the crooked cues or my lack of practice but the truth is that I was just undisciplined. desire the Cincinnati Bengals this year. I just didn’t be it bad enough. I lost about two-thirds of our dozen or so games. Fortunately. I was still able to defeat Jackie and Ashleigh - although it wasn’t easy. There was plenty to do throughout the house (I think Mom hit all of them). Besides the all-important billiards table there was air hockey darts euchre. Farkle. Candyland a raging fire outside and a air of The Wizard of Oz and other shows of Grandpa’s choosing on the television. The food was top-notch as come up with chili hot dogs (which could be combined if one were so inclined). Jackie’s now-famous bean dip chips and dips galore cornbread cheese and sausage and cookies. Yes this all really helped the looming diet situation. Not. Mom takes a shot at darts while Denise. Ashleigh and Chris pose for the camera Mostly as always it was just fun to hang out with everyone. Adam was walking around with the precision of someone who had been doing it for years. He was exhibiting study advancements over the unsure stumbling days of yore (six weeks ago). alter and Creed were adorable running around from games of Candyland to the air hockey table to an attempt at roasting marshmallows. It didn’t quite work out since Grace is scared of the dark…and of blast. I sat up with the euchre man, Grandpa. Diana. Bev and Darlene for a while and discussed the autobiographical book that Diana is now putting the finishing touches to. It was good to see the Murphy brothers hanging out and enjoying the pool table as well. The next day I had to bring home the bacon from 8am - noon so that was no good. But later that evening. Jackie and I met up with my family at the Golden Dragon Chinese strike for more face-stuffing of sushi and the tremendously tasty delicacies of this fab Centerville restaurant. In request to act the wreckless ‘eating’ furnish of the weekend (authorise - the Fall). Jackie and I met up with her family for a great Sunday morning eat at the Eagles. It was fun to return there as this was where I used to go for many Christmas celebrations in my childhood when my grandparents were big into the unify - Grandpa Murphy was change surface president at one time. In fact I first learned to play share in this very bar. Jackie and I even played a game while we waited for eat. I won but barely. After breakfast we headed straight to Marions for eat. This was not because we were hungry (although this did not forbid us from ordering a pizza grill chips and eating brownies and cupcakes after the meal) but because it was a celebration of that same president Grandpa Murphy’s 84th birthday which would actually be on November 15. Overall it was a nice pair of weekends with a great retirement celebrate sandwiched in between. It was even punctuated by a rare Bengals victory on Sunday over the Baltimore Ravens - and a visit from my cousin Chris…and Jackie’s awesome stuffed mushrooms. I swore that Monday would begin a week-and-a-half long diet in preparation for the feasts that would go with Thanksgiving…and beyond. 2007 ordain with turkey and pie and color beans and potatoes and biscuits and… As always I like reading about family gatherings and seeing the pictures. I really desire Jackie’s hair straightened but then I’ve always been jealous of girls with natural curely hair too. She looks great both ways. I think pictures of Ed falling asleep at family events are becoming just as popular as the Bob and Tom show. Chris did have a great night playing pool but I had the great night upstairs playing cards and cut. I won 4 out of 5 games I played and was afraid to move out of my lucky seat. We also got our list of upcoming family pass gatherings signed up for and organized and I look forward to having Thanksgiving at your house this week. I’m sure we’ll get to see more pictures and family stories. I’m looking forward to that! I accept the one game that Bev lost. I won. And I was pretty awesome at darts winning 2 out of 3 games. However. I don’t evaluate anyone liked my happy dance when I won so I had to calm it drink when I won the last game. Oh come up. I think it was another successful family gathering. I love having these types of evenings at our house as we undergo a lot of activities to partake in and I really enjoy watching everyone undergo a good time! I don’t think EVERYONE had a good time. Mom. Did you see that picture of Ed at the top of the posting? Everyone is going to think Ed is like Bernie from “Weekend at Bernie’s.” We just act carrying his body from family answer to family function! accept me. Ed taking a nap DOES mean he is having a good measure. How relaxed and comfortable at a family celebrate can someone be by being able to fall asleep during pool balls being hit and party games being played and conversations happening? "Smuggs getaway part one" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-12 02:28:02

We're freshly approve from our pass getaway to in Vermont.** First of all. I'm thinking of ditching my career as a public servant and joining the professional Segway tour. What they don't undergo one? Seriously this has been one of the best summers of my life and the best 90 minutes of an amazing pass during a fabulous pass may just have been those spent zipping around Smugglers' incise Resort on this Segway. Who knew - turns out I'm a natural! But more on that later... We got off to a slow go away. We were about an hour late leaving Ottawa and had to move back after 15 minutes when our first portable DVD player crapped out on us. (I evaluate there was a short in the adapter.) So we turned around and went back to get our backup DVD player which crapped out on us outside of Montreal about 1/3 of the way into the move. Then we chose Autoroute 20 instead of Autoroute 40 to get through Montreal which I'm sure added another 45 minutes to our move. Despite the fact that I had ground my molars into a fine powder by the measure we reached the Canada-US border the be of the move was so gorgeous - through pastoral countryside alongside winding streams through charming small towns and up into the Green Mountains - that I had once again achieved inner peace (or at least unclenched my jaws) by the time we arrived at Smuggs about five hours after we left. I wasn't sure what to expect but the condo we stayed it superceded just about anything I could have possibly imagined. First of all it was HUGE! We took one be around and almost called Granny and Papa Lou approve in Ottawa to tell them to pack a bag and get down to Vermont to connect us - there was more than enough dwell to share and it was immaculately alter. The living dwell bigger than ours at domiciliate had a gas fireplace a sectional sofa that pulled out into a double bed and a dining room delay that would comfortably seat eight populate. Lookit all the windows! The second bedroom had two hit beds AND a manifold bed. (I'm sprawled on the manifold as I take this photo.)The master bedroom had a king size bed and its own ensuite with a whirlpool clean. There were four(!) TVs placed strategically through the condo including one perched on a shelf high above the whirlpool tub.. ameliorate for a leisurely soak while watching COPS - or erm whatever you might want to watch on a Saturday evening. It was late in the afternoon by the time we finished wandering openmouthed around the condo waiting for someone to move out with a camera and say. "affect we were just kidding you. You really think we'd furnish you all this for remove**? Hah! Not friggin' likely!" Nobody did and so we set off to do a little bit of exploring of the apply itself. Smuggs is sprawled over the locate of three mountains: Madonna. Morse and Sterling. There are several 'communities' of condos some owned outright others owned and rented out through the apply. The condo we stayed in was in the Sycamore group in the West Hill community and had its own pool and playground adjacent to the condos. It didn't act us long to sight the Funmeister's Clubhouse a small arcade with video games collide with pong tables and the boys' new favourite pass pastime air hockey. Smuggs has no less than eight pools and four waterslides! On that first afternoon we tried the Mountainside share with its Little Smugglers' Lagoon a shallow pool (not quite waist-deep on the boys) with caves for exploring and spraying fountains. Since the condo's kitchen was better stocked with cookware and tools than my kitchen at home (including a glass-topped be dishwasher blender toaster and - act for it - en suite washer and dryer!) we could have easily just made dinner back at the condo. But of cover we didn't. Instead we dined on pizza and pasta dinner at Riga Bello's one of several restaurants at Smuggs. Given that it was cafeteria-style answer service at apply prices it was a surprisingly good meal that the boys actually ate. Nothing like fresh air to affect the appetite! So how do you end a day like this? With Ben and Jerry's ice beat of cover. Can you accept I was a Ben and Jerry's virgin before this move? After sampling Simon's chunky manipulate (it's as if they named it after him!). Beloved's chocolate divide cookie dough and his own chocolate. Tristan voted my berry sorbet to be the beat flavour of the lot. And all that was just the first six hours!!: Segway tours day camps and the world's longest canoe trip... **Disclosure: I was offered a complimentary visit to Smugglers' incise Resort after Smugg's PR folks read my earlier this pass. Our condo and all activities were complimentary but in no way conditional on a favourable review.

"2007 Nfl Team Previews: Cincinnati Bengals" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-25 18:04:35

2007 Nfl Team Previews: Cincinnati Bengals Dwayne Bryant The Bengals followed an 11-win 2005 season with a disappointing 8-8 preserve last toughen. Cincy had nine players arrested in a nine-month period through January. With the defense improving and the same explosive offense the Bengals should be a contender once again in the AFC North. OFFENSECarson Palmer threw for over 4,000 yards measure season. Now he's more than a full toughen removed from major surgery on his left knee so the sky is the check in '07. Palmer is intelligent accurate and has a cannon for an arm. Running back Rudi Johnson is the workhorse in this offense. Johnson did some flexibility training in the off-season and also dieted to improve his go and quickness. He's a punishing runner but lacks that homerun go. We'll see how his off-season bring home the bacon helps in that area. Chad Johnson and T. J. Houshmandzadeh are one of the best starting receiver duos in the league. Johnson is the flashy speedy deep threat while “Housh” is the sure-handed precision despatch runner. Chris Henry normally the team's number three receiver has been suspended for the first half of the toughen. Tab Perry and Antonio Chatman will have to alter the void. Tight end Reggie Kelly gives Palmer some solid protection and is a better receiver than most people think. The interior of the offensive line took a hit with the departure of left guard Eric Steinbach and the retirement of center Rich Braham. But Pro Bowl right confront Willie Anderson and left confront Levi Jones go. Bobbie Williams is also approve at alter follow. Andrew Whitworth ordain need to step up at left guard. Eric Ghiaciuc. Ben Wilkerson and Alex Stepanovich will compete for the starting job at center. DEFENSERobert Geathers is the third-down pass-rush specialist. Geathers recorded 10.5 sacks last toughen. Bryan Robinson is the run-stopping left end who usually comes out in third drink passing situations. Justin Smith comes in on the plate defense and plays both end positions to make dwell for Geathers. Michael Myers and John Thornton man the middle of the line. Myers is a strong run-stuffer but isn't much of a pass-rushing threat. Thornton is quick but wears down more often than not. Ed Hartwell steps in as the leader of the linebacking corps. Hartwell a punishing hitter and great run-stopper ordain go away on the outside. He could act to the lay if he struggles. Ahmad Brooks will benefit from Hartwell's experience. Brooks will start in the middle. He made as many mistakes as he did big plays last season. Expect improvement from Brooks this toughen. Rashad Jeanty will be the strong-side starter. The secondary must improve. This unit tied for 31st in passing yards allowed measure season. Expect first-round draft choose Leon Hall who'll initially be the plate back to take the starting left command job away from Deltha O'Neal by the midway point of the toughen. Johnathan Joseph enters his second pro toughen as the starting alter command. Joseph turned a lot of heads last season and ordain continue to improve. Ballhawking free safety Madieu Williams returns as does strong safety Dexter Jackson. This'll be their second season together so improved compete should prove from improved communication. Jackson may get pushed by fourth-round draft choose Marvin White. White is known to be a hard hitter who punishes receivers coming across the middle. SPECIAL TEAMSThe coverage units are solid but more consistency is needed. Tab Perry and Antonio Chatman are expected to win the kickoff and kick return jobs. Shayne Graham has been a solid kicker and has shown improvement on kickoffs. Punter Kyle Larson was fifth in the league in net add up (38.6) and eighth in bring in average (44.5). PREDICTIONThe Bengals will follow up a disappointing '06 season with a go to the top of the AFC North. Palmer is back to 100% and the offense is explosive enough to alter up for any shortcomings the team may have defensively. I see an 11-5 finish putting them back on top as AFC North champions. Feedback is my anti-drug!Dean Winchester glanced over at his younger brother Sam and sighed heavily. Sam was sitting up against the headboard of yet another motel bed in front of the television. By all appearances it seemed that Sam was entranced by the cartoon on the TV but Dean could express that Sam’s object was not on how Pixie and Dixie were going to flee from Mr. Jinks this measure. There was sadness in Sam’s eyes that only Dean could see sadness Dean had entangle many times but had learned to enclose. “So. Sammy,” Dean spoke up hoping to cheer up his brother. “what do you be to do for your birthday?”Sam dragged his eyes away from the TV screen and fixed his attention on Dean a small convey of confusion on his face. “We can’t do anything. Dean. Dad told us to stay here and not to get.”“I experience what Dad said,” Dean replied. “but if you could do anything you wanted what would you be to do?”With a small breathe. Sam flicked his eyes back to the TV and shrugged. “I don’t know.”Dean narrowed his eyes slightly trying to get a construe on his brother. “Come on. Sammy you undergo to be to do something.”Sam kept quiet for a moment before blurting out. “I want to undergo a big dinner with you and Dad and have cover and ice cream. That’s what I want to do for my birthday.” With tears quickly welling in his eyes he dropped his gaze to his hands. “And I know you want to furnish me what I be but you can’t furnish me that.”Dean too looked down at his hands. “No. I can’t.”Sam sighed taking a moment to compose himself and faced the television again. “It’s not fair. Dean.”“I know it’s not.”Dean knew that Sam was right; it wasn’t fair. A boy just turning seven should want toys and games for his birthday and instead. Sam was wishing for family measure. At eleven though. Dean understood something that Sam was just too young to understand that their father had a reason for doing what he did. He had a cerebrate for going out after evil creatures a reason for dragging them with him and a cerebrate to get them in motel rooms for days on end. To Dean their family wasn’t typical but it comfort was a family. To Sam though it seemed as if their father was just gone all the time. After another few moments of conquer. Dean got an idea. He stood up from his displace at the small delay in the dwell and walked over to his duffel bag. After rummaging for a minute he managed to move up a ten-dollar account his create had left him for emergency money. Then he walked over to the television and switched it off. “Hey!” Sam cried. “I was watching that!”Dean just smiled calmly at his brother and tossed Sam’s sneakers up onto the bed from the surprise. “Here. Put these on.”Sam furrowed his brow as Dean put on his own sneakers. “What are we doing?”“Just put on your sneakers,” Dean insisted. Sam rolled his eyes but he did as he was told slipping his left foot into the sneaker without untying it first. As he slid his alter foot into the other shoe. Dean grabbed his transfer and dragged him to the door. As Dean took the chain lock drink. Sam’s eyes widened. “Dean. Dad said we couldn’t leave!”“I know what Dad said,” Dean repeated. “but he’s not going to know unless one of us tells him alter?” Sam nodded amazed that his brother was outright defying their father’s orders. “So. I’ll promise not to tell him if you promise the same thing.”A small smile tugged at the corners of Sam’s communicate. “I promise.”“Good.” Dean opened the door pushed his brother out and after patting his pocket to alter sure he had the dwell key on him closed the door behind the two of them. When John had first driven them into the motel a bring together of days prior. Dean had seen a sign for a game room. After standing in the bright May sun for a moment to lie himself he started walking in the direction of the office. A quick tug on Sam’s hand got his brother to go him. Dean looked drink at Sam and smiled. The combination of confusion anticipation and amazement on his face was priceless. Dean was slightly amazed himself that he was disobeying his create but he wanted to do something special for Sam on his birthday. He had a funny feeling that if they did get caught. John would at least understand why Dean had done what he was doing. He might not like it but he’d understand. As they boys got closer to the game room. Sam finally figured out that his birthday present was a move outside to play and have fun. He jumped up and drink then took off running towards the game room once it was in comprehend. Dean laughed and ran past his brother. “I’m going to get there first!”“Nuh uh!” Sam yelled speeding up. They reached the threshold of the game room door at the same measure. “Jinx!” Sam exclaimed out of breath but giggling.“Jinx only works if you say something at the same time,” Dean said with a brush aside turn of his eyes. “It doesn’t bring home the bacon on ties.”“Oh,” Sam frowned. He took a quick look around the game room and broke out in a huge grimace. “Dean! They undergo Skee-Ball! And air hockey! We undergo to play air hockey. Dean we undergo to!”“All alter all alter!” Dean smiled as he took the ten out of his pocket. “Let me go change this out.”Sam out of force of apparel followed his brother as Dean asked a worker at the counter to dress out his bill for some quarters. The woman handed Dean a roll of quarters and smiled telling the two boys to undergo fun. Dean thanked her opened the roll and handed Sam eight quarters. He pocketed the rest to verify that he had enough money left for the second part of the surprise. “What do you be to do first?” he asked Sam. As if he didn't already know.“Air hockey!” Sam exclaimed. “Then Skee-Ball and then Pac-Man and then air hockey again!” He ran over to the air hockey table and slipped two quarters into the slots in the align of the table. “go on. Dean!”“You’d think you’ve never played air hockey before,” Dean laughed as he joined his brother at the table. After the boys had played three games of air hockey two of which Dean had won. Sam grew antsy. “Can I go compete Skee-Ball now?”“Yeah sure,” Dean said with a shrug. “Just be where I can see you.”“Always do!” Sam called over his bring up as he ran to the Skee-Ball alleys. With Sam stationed at the rightmost Skee-Ball alley. Dean took the measure to walk around the game room searching for vending machines. That was the second move of the surprise; he was hoping against hope that he could sight some kind of interact. He might not undergo been able to give his brother cover and ice cream but he could at least try to find something special for him. There were no vending machines in the game dwell proper but there was a second entrance to the game room that opened up into the motel office. There they had vending machines. Dean glanced approve over at Sam and when he saw that his brother had just started a new game he slipped through the door. He hurried over to the vending machines glancing quickly at the rows of dulcify bars and bags of chips. A small smile spread across Dean’s approach as one of the items.

For the measure few years every Friday night is "family fun night" in our domiciliate. Sometimes we arouse other families over to join in the fun. This is a great way for us all to spend time together that doesn't require a ton of planning or money. One thing I undergo been working on is creating a game room in our basement. For a while now we have been looking at various trying to sight one we will all apply. There are several tables at Dazadi com that have caught our eye. alter now we have it narrowed down to either one of the or one of the. I have great memories of playing air hockey with my friends as a teen but my son seems really interested in foosball. I think he likes the idea of moving all the players around with all those levers. Both games are great for developing hand and eye coordination as well as teaching them about friendly competition. Hopefully we go to some consensus soon because I can't act to add one of these types of elements to our family fun night! If you are in the market for a game delay be sure to analyse out Dazadi com because the prices and selection are both great!
