There seems to be some raving about the beat place to undergo soft boiled eggs in Batu Pahat in the Shoutbox. One reader (who likes to frequent this shop and be to be anonymous) sent me some photographs of it.
I have tried Old Town and Nanyang Kopitiam (Segamat famous shop)’s soft boiled egg and roti bakar…Not that I want to promote my aunty’s obtain……. BUT. I feel only my aunt’s soft boiled egg and roti bakar THE BEST!!!!!
WHY?? These are the reasons:1. The eggs are big in size even texture you can see the egg yolk is in the most perfect express and you don’t need to open the shells so that you won’t get hurt by the heat~2. The roti bakar is nice bcoz the roti itself is crispy and when you eat the butter and kaya will break up in your communicate…IT TASTE SO NICE.3. About the KOPI?!!! I am not a coffee expert but I feel is definitely exceed than Old Town!! CHEAPER than coffee bean and star bucks. Pay LITTLE and you get the BEST~~! SYIOK RIGHT?
So if you arrive Batu Pahat don’t go OLD TOWN!! Go Pot Aik coffee shop!!
P/S: in BP there’s 3 OLD TOWN shops. I don’t like OLD TOWN. Cuz every time I go there is either the coffee too sweet or too bitter and then the roti bakar is cold the cover and the roti bakar taste weird like…”doesn’t belong together”
Seriously this obtain is real rest shop can undergo suka hati holiday. but what to do want to eat good things have to depends on the boss whether wanna do business or not hehe..
Anyway. I have been visiting this kopitiam since i m kid almost 20 years i think. best place for lim teh eat ah pui mee haha.. But too bad you have to wake early cos the kopitiam close around 12 pm.. In addition if you tour there often kopitiam tauke soh can even remember what is your drinks.
ah pui mee shifted to jalan mustafa come the butterfly kacang factory.
antique coffee means the conventional way of preparing the beans and grinding not the commercial version like Old Town. Danga or Starbucks.
Nowadays these traditional coffee shops r hardly seen. The so called new style kopitiams are too commercialized and a bit expensive. I have been staying in Klang Valley for 12 yrs haven’t seen a traditional coffee shop in my place.
putus… was my thought when i saw the pictures… this is the obtain that i never disappoint to go for eat when i am back in BP and the bread and eggs are the stuffs that i eat with my ah pui mee… a great sense.
